Chiak pa bo su cho

I feel so guilty.
Had dinner at Expert (Lau Hang Chia), BDC area.
I ordered Apam Balik for appetizer.
2 pieces for myself only.
So crispy & sweet. How I miss it.

The main dish was Thai Style Fried Kueh Tiau, RM4.50 at the corner stall next to the Dani's Honey BBQ wing. Surprisingly it was GOOD, spicy & fragrant. I would have ordered chix wing but it was closed.
Then headed to JD bakery for CREAM PUFFs as my desserts... ahhhhhhhhhhhh so FULL now.
My appetizer & dessert cost more than my main dish... hehehe
That's what happened when I go out for dinner, I get distracted by a lot of side stuff. Then I would buy supper, and sometimes breakfast too but it would be gone by the time we reach home.
My Inductor Hub is still at the ICU unit.
My food is slowly nearing expiry date in the fridge.
Great. Just great.

Home Cooked Meal

As MIL is back in S'pore, no more home cook meal for the past 2 weeks**sob sob**. Eating out every meal seems unhealthy. I volunteered to COOK for 1 month & see whether we can SAVE $$$

He was enthusiastic like me at first and we went crazy shopping for groceries. Both of us like loitering at the shopping alley & picked out the food that we want. Like this Chicken Tortilla Soup... very random just throw in the shopping trolley.
Then this Chicken Cubes is a MUST, to make everything taste nicer!
This Organic Whole Grain Cereal was a waste. It stated that KIDS WILL LOVE! so I tot must be sweet & nice but it was the total opposite... dang kena tipu again! Then I got Fish Fillet, which means must get the GRAVY too
Beef Meat Ball, so grab Pasta Sauce & Spaghetti too!
Getting the SHIRO MISO Paste means that Dried SEAWEED is a MUST!
WOW... ROTI Paratha with Onions... how can forget to get Yeo's KARI Ayam to go with it!
Cannot buy 1 nia, must buy A LOT baru ada ummppphh.Lamb shoulder... yum yum... must buy sauce to marinate it... MUST also get MINT Sauce too bcoz it taste great with lamb.
Bangi Beef Sausage looks good... MUST get MUSTARD to go with it!
That's how our fridge ended FULL with these stuff bcoz we keep getting stuff to go along with the stuff to make more stuff... pork, fish, chicken, prawn, beef & lamb semua ada. Not forgetting JUNK FOOD too lar, part of our staple food oledi. Some of the dishes that I made...
Unagi, Miso soup, Jap Toufu & rice with furikake topping. I got a box of Shisamo (pregnant fish)for RM6 only, such an amazing price, there were 8 in the box! what a pleasant find in Ta Kiong. I just fried it & ta-da...
We spent more than RM200 at Ta Kiong from the time I decided to cook last weekend.
Then there was 2 trips to 100% Discount Store. Then 1 trip to Choice & UNACO each to check out the green vege. After spending more then RM300 for groceries for home cooked meal goodness....
U know why? Looked at the photo below, once there was once an Inductor HUB at the blank square space. It DIED after just 1 week of cooking... it cost freaking ~RM4000 and it died when I just started to seriously cook $%$^&^*&(^%$# 1st, it was the clogged drain.
Then THIS!
sigh...
I think it's a SIGN from above that I'm NOT SUPPOSED to COOK at home!

Drain Clogged $%^*I*&%$##@!

Daymmnn! Just after 1 week of cooking & that stupid sink drain clogged. Tried so many ways to unclog it.
1. Hubby took the broom & use the stick to pock --> FAILED
2. Poured 1 bucket of HOT WATER --> FAILED
3. Poured another bucket of HOT WATER the next day --> FAILED
4. Poured 1/4 bottle of Vinegar --> FAILED
5. Pour 1/4 bottle of STRONG Tile Cleaner (it was acidic) --> FAILED
6. Bought a plunger. Cover the drain opening & started to push the plunger up & down --> STILL FAILED

GAVE UP & send a SOS signal to my parent. Luckily they are here in Kuching this weekend. My Daddy WORK the plunger & the sink drain was UNCLOG! Thank goodness.

Yesterdays' Breakfast was this:
Bratwurst Sausage, Bacon & Mushroom Omelet and Baked Beans
I got the Bratwurst Sausage from Tai Kiong, and although it was BIG but not worth the price as the sausage taste like the normal 10 piece/packet sausage. Don't get cheated like me. But luckily I got Mustard to cheer me up a bit. I heart bake beans too. When I was a kid, my late grandma used to make this type of breakfast for me when she was staying with us in Sri Aman.Today's breakfast was Double Pattie Beef Burger with Egg. Hubby insist on using the Maggie Seasoning Sauce like the Kenyalang roadside burger stall. I like mine with lotsa mayo & Thai Chili Sauce... yum yum.

The stomach was happy. That’s most important.
p/s: I've been waiting patiently for new episodes on American Idol. Anoooooop I heart, isn't he cute wearing slippers to the audition??? The only part I hate about the show is when Paula Abdul speaks. Why can't she just shut up??? p/p/s: Loi, something suitable for you to wear in BALI! MANKINI!
p/p/p/s: I've just finished watching Season 11 America Next Top Model, I still loved all the bitching, the drama & cat fights, and most importantly the photography & posing part too lar... While waiting for Season 12 first 4 episode to finish downloading, I watch our very own Malaysia Dream Girl, I almost DIE. The show is already in Season 2, but still SUCKS donkey ass! The quality of the video recording is horrible. No building of a storyline. There is just no oomph to it.

p/p/p/p/s: I had the Spanish Noodle RM3.50 at Lee Coffee Shop (Lau Lee) last night. This time no need to wait for long. The mee tasted normal, same like normal ko-lo-mee only the texture a bit different as it's fatter. The green color of the noodle is not from artificial coloring but from a green leafy vegetable, specifically, from SPINACH. Actually it's supposed to be SPINACH Noodle, Spanish my a$$. Does the Chinese wording support what I said??

Earth Hour 2009

oppsss... forgot to spread the word about Earth Hour that is happening TODAY in less than half an hour!!!!! Where earthling turn off their lights from 8:30pm to 9:30pm to give Earth a bit of time to rest”. But this year the event is widely publicized, I think most ppl already heard about this.

Well, this is the 1st year I heard of this celebration & will fully support this Earth Hour.

I hope this year the earthlings will do much better compared to the pathetic attempt last year.

Let's switch off our lights together gather okie?

D-CUP

Hubby: I'll like to have D-Cup.
Seller: This ar? **pointing to 1 of the pau**
Hubby: NO, Not the C-Cup, I only want D-Cup. **grinning like crazy**
Me: Please ta-pau 2 Bak-Pao **stared at hubby**

The Pau seller was really confused by hubby's comment.
Really not pai seh 1 lor...
The banana is there for size comparison only. btw, the PAU taste great! dang... I forgot the shop name again, it's a small corner shop at Padungan area (not Xiao Pa Wang), opposite the police station. The Chix Pau is even bigger... G-CUP!

Kittensssss & 144 pcs

Went to Sunday Market at Satok last weekend with my parent.
My mum bought 4 potted plants. She talked to the sellers like old friends. Exchanging gardening tips & bargaining for a really good price.
Me? I just bought tons of fruits & some meat. Flower & me NO fren.

Then went to UNACO for cheap green leaves. It's near to my parent's house at Timberland Hospital area.

Went back to my parent's home 1st so that my mum can wash all my fruits & vege. Peel & cut the pears. Packed the food into single meal portion. Thanks mum, u da best! I plan to start cooking at home to see if we can cut down on food expenses. I'll tell you more later on this interesting topic.

While my mum was busy cleaning & packing, I walked around the house & found these at the back of the house where boxes were around for them to hide. The kitten's mum left when she sensed our presence. Wow... kawaii kittens. 1 was very alert & playful. 1 was sleepy looking, as the eyes are not fully opened yet. 3 kittens each with very different color coat.
The boxes near the kittens grab my attention... wow... Durex Fetherlite 144 pieces le... buy wholesale cheaper is it? I checked back a while later & those kittens were GONE! My dad said the mummy cat transport those kittens 1 by 1 by grabbing them by their neck using her mouth o_O"

Now u c it, now u don

Went to "Lee Coffee Shop" (Lau Lee near the Stutong Wet Market) for breakfast some time ago. Planned to try something different called "Spanish Noodles" (the noodle in weird lau sai green color) at the Ko Lo Mee Stall but we sat there waited & waited & waited some more... Hubby was VERY hungry, I ordered Cha-Kueh (salty)... not bad.
Even after we finished the cha-kueh, my Spanish Noodle was no where in sight, so we left after canceling our order. Have your tried Spanish Noodle before? How was the taste??Then we drove to Premier 101 and went to the corner food stall near Koreana, I forgot the name. I was happy when I saw "BELACAN BEEHOON". But when the dish came, I was slightly disappointed as I tot got Jiu Hu mar. But it tasted GOOD, smelly but that's why I liked it.Hubby ate Chicken rice... not bad at all... The meat was moist & tender.Half way through his meal... this came off....Te-heeeee...

Causeway Bay Hong Kong Restaurant at Crown Towers. This is 1 of my favorite makan place. As usual we ordered the WEEKDAY Set A + B with special price . It even come with drinks, which I surely choose Ying Yong, that I heart. So remember go during weekday & grab the good deals offered. Ah... my love... Bo Lo Bao... sweet and crusty on top, pineapple custard filling on the insideI'm blogging about this place again is because they have NEW dishes! Wanted to blog about this weeks back but I forgot.

Tao Sar Bao ( 3 pieces) RM3.60, only red bean bun lar. Taste OK only, I was not jumping up & down with JOY... as I did for
thiiiiiissssss........ the Lao Sar Bao (2 pieces) RM3.00. It was ORGASMIC. Highly recommended! Oh you just have to taste it! The filling is a molten egg yolk... runny and yummy!
I found this in my Causeway Bay Food Folder... taken last month when Esther was still here in Kuching...

Happy Naw-Ruz!

Naw-Rúz symbolizes the new life of spring.

Naw-Rúz (literally new day in Persian) is the Bahá'í new year festival and falls at the spring equinox, which marks the 1st day of spring and the end of the Baha'i Faith’s annual 19 Day Fast. It is one of 9 Baha'i holy days on which Baha'is suspend work. But this year it falls on weekend, so no need to take any leave from my depleting leave entitlement.

Click on this link for a slide show

Naw-Rúz is the 1st day of the month of Baha which is the 1st month in the Bahá'í calendar, which consists of 19 months of 19 days each (361 days), with the addition of "Intercalary Days" (four in ordinary & five in leap years) between the 18th & 19th months to adjust the calendar to the solar year.

This year, my parent were here in Kuching to join in this joyous celebration. Visiting homes of Baha'i friends.

Happy Naw-Rúz

Withdrawal Symptoms

Hubby is displaying severe withdrawal symptoms.

He's repeating & imitating the way Esther talk.
Like how she always say: "bo la"
At traffic light junction, he would say:
"Green GO liau. meh meh liau (go faster)"
or the cute way she reply: "huh? o_o"
to every questions that she don understand.
and singing the alphabet song ABC with the remix version of Esther:
"A B C.... M N O O O O O O O O P..."

All these because Esther is back to S'pore.

Sweet memories........

Bright Sunny Day!

Her many expressions...

Walking to Traffic Garden...

See her cheeky face...
ooo... what are these red seeds???

ah.. the adorable Esther!

That cheeky face again...

Kick Ball Ball Baaaaaaallllllll
eh.... why suddenly bcame SHY??!!

She obediently posed for these photo when I bribe her with ice-cream...

Washing up before heading home sweet home...

She loves the camera...

If hubby said make "BIRD" face, instantly her expression bcome like this:
Happily running home!

See you soon Esther!
