100 Yen Shop

Right here in Kuching!!! Just next to Taka (or is that Mita??) Bakery... aiya... opposite Green Gallery at BDC I still remember fondly how we loved this shop when we were in Japan...hahahha... the only place where we can afford to buy anything. God, everywhere else was so expensive.
I got this Soba Noodle DishAnd 2 tea cups...
Each item cost RM4.90 in the 100 yen shop, they proudly advertise that everything in the shop is imported from Japan, which I truly doubt.Currently, people in the shop are more than the items on sale heheheheh

Nothing compelling to say

Have not been updating regularly, bein bz the main reason & the lazy bug is not helping much...
I lead a boring life (what life??) of just eat, sleep, work & repeating those cycle everyday. Nothing compelling to say, really.

I wanna re-pot my cactus as some of them is out growing the pot. Told hubby this & he brought me to those pottery shops along 4th mile (??). I went shopping for new pots & also cactus soil (that was triple the price of normal soil). Dear cactus plant readers, can I just use the normal soil as it's cheaper??? Or can I mix to reduce the $$ spent?
Shopped at Cold Storage as it was nearer to home. I have not been to Ta Kiong for 3 weeks (gasp!)... god I miss shopping for junk food. My work has taken up so much of my time I can cry. These were on SALE at 99cents per can (NP RM2.99) so I grab 4 flavors... Root Beer was nice. Did not buy much as the price here are so much more expensive than Ta Kiong.
Our main purpose to the supermarket was to get this, CARAMEL Syrup RM12.99!!! Few weeks ago I again forgot about my stand on NOT BUYING LOW FAT stuff & got the Low Fat Popcorn that was so tasteless it was like eating paper. So I'm hoping the caramel will save those popcorn from goin into the rubbish bin. And it can hahhaha!
Went to the upper floor of Cold Storage & found this empty shop lot with a settee & a wall of magazine collages... very creative! A good idea on how to update my living room.Still had some time before I need to get back to work (sienz) so we hang out at Bing Coffee! I got to read free newspaper :)
Caramel Espresso with whipped cream, RM12.50, but with 10% discount using the Membership card it was only RM11.25. SWeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEET!
A new place for CHICKEN RICE called the Yum Yum KL Chicken Rice, located behind Unaco Supermarket at Stutong area, as recommended by Snoopy & TallGuy. Only steamed chicken was served, the kind that I like heehehehe... The rice is fragrant & the soup was nice. But I still prefer Hainan Street at BDC as the meat is OILIER & more juicy but it's more expensive lar.Guess this place!! Where we had a lousy donkey ass dinner of Fried Kueh Tiau... that cost RM4.50 per plate!!!
that's all...

Craving for TOM YAM!

Have been craving for TOM YAM since last week... so off we went to Pandan Thai Delight at BDC area.As usual, I ordered the Fried Pineapple Rice RM10. The portion are quite big so both of us shared this.
I miss the Pandan Chicken too, RM 10 for 3 pieces... yummy yum yumAnd for the highlight of the night, my Tom Yam Kung Soup RM18 & Beef Green Curry RM18. The PRAWN in the soup was so fresh & succulent... The green curry was a disappointment though, as the Chicken Green Curry was da bomb the last timeMy dessert, Yam with Sago in Coconut Milk Rm3.50, I forgot what hubby got hahah...
Total damage to the wallet...So guys, got any other suggestion on where to satisfy my TOM YAM Craving??? Would like to try out new place.

Miracle of LOVE

Took half day off to tag along with hubby for another Actual Wedding Day Photoshoot. I wanted to take the whole day off to tag along but WORK does not allow it so no choice but returned to work right after lunch. My fav pic of the day!

The wedding reception was held last Saturday night and this is my favorite pic of the night.

It was a loooooong day with me getting off work only at 9pm *sulk*. Cheered me up a bit after getting a bite at Nyap Kiang, Kenyalang Market. My top choice for fried tomato kueh tiau & fried kueh tiau with clam... yum yummy yum
Then we went to Wrapped, at 4 points Sheraton Hotel to picked up some pastries. My mood got slightly better liau...
I wanted to get that HUGE Stawberry Tart but it cost RM55 *sigh* hmmm... i forgot to ask whether this got 50% discount or not?
In the end I got Chicken Mushroom Pie (left) & Coffee St Honore (right). Both at half price as it was after 9pm. So I only paid RM8.40 for these...
Look at the ridicoulous amount of cream...That's all folks... My legs & arms are aching...

Ling Loong Cafe

Dinner was at Ling Loong Cafe near King Centre, Simpang Tiga with hubby's Grandpa & Aunt. It was almost full house when we were there. This place is well known for it's fresh seafood and it's value for money. As hubby & I were there 1st, I ordered the food for that night, which consist of 5 dishes. The Belacan Midin was ok la, not spicy. Hubby ordered "Sweet Sour Pork Ribs", it was awesome & I really like that dish. And I wanted something spicy so I got the Sambal Prawn (i got tired of butter prawn oledi) which was yummylicious.
Dinner is not ocmplete without soup, Fish Lips in this case. Taste good! I like soup with vinegar. The last was this "Oo Chien" aka or Fried Oysters, so crispy it breaks into pieces once u poked it hehehehAlthough it was slightly hot while eating, the food made up for everything. Fresh, delicious food with a reasonable price.
