1. Nothing beats home-made cheesecake by my mum-in-law (MIL), firm & dense, with a slightly lemony flavor like New York cheesecake from Coffee Bean. The type of cheesecake that's pure, unadulterated cheesecake with no fancy ingredients added either to the cheesecake or placed on top of it. It's not too sweet, just perfect.

2. Fresh home-made mini-mooncake made by MIL too. These are filled with bean paste that are not too sweet, a healthier option, that's the advantage of HOME MADE goodness. 3. These are "Ping Pi Yue Ping" (Ice Skin Mooncake) with Pandan flavored bean paste that's again NOT too sweet. This type of mooncake DON'T need to be BAKE. That's why it's FAIR SKINNED... kekeke... Again a masterpiece by my MIL. Yea, she's a talented baker I admit. I feel like the USELESS daughter-in-law now...sigh.4. WASABI NORI (seaweed)... wohoo... have been searching for this... Dennis got this for me in S'pore. Even gave me a copy of the Goodfood Japan, a magazine about Japanese food make simple.... cooool.and MORE types NORI... The nori are even pre-cut (good for lazy bum like me) for different type of wrapping like Yaki Onigiri &Temaki Nori... too cooool... 5. Swiss Chocolate from Amsterdam.... 72% cocoa... sometimes when ppl knows what u like, they get lazy and get the same stuff 4 u every time. But to me that's good, bcoz I never get enough of CHOCOLATE....muahahahha...

6. Hubby's Sei Ko (DIL's younger sis) make us some Coffee Cake with nuts topping. I so ENVY people that know how to bake cakes. The only cake that I know how to make is in the toilet kind. Homemade cake are always not-too-sweet, healthier and like how I like it (ok ok .... I cannot keep up with the straight face anymore... I admit I'm lying, I like sweeeeeeeeeet stuff, but people give 1 bor... must say ..hhmmmm... not too sweet, more healthy like that lor)... must learn to appreciate less sweetness in food, for the sake of my waist & tummy & thigh & arm ....7. Mummy dearest got me 2 more cactus, bought it from Sunday Market. The 1 below looks like blooming lotus, I loved it. Even got stem coming out that's not flower bud, but in fact it's baby cactus.This cactus is so lovely, looks like it's covered with flower all around... so pretty. My mum really got an eye in picking the cactus I likey. Thanks Mummy.

8. Some souvenirs from TallGuy who is back from Taiwan to renew his Visa. He got SO much interesting adventure in Taiwan... he's so lucky as he's gonna be there for another 4 months. Here's wishing that you have MUCH MUCH MORE 'ADVENTURE' there.God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today.

Just random happy stuff

1. The beautiful flowers along the walk way to my office...

2. I recently bought 2 new flavor of Arnott's Shapes and it's AWESOME!!! Got it from Ta Kiong at RM3.90 each, what a bargain lor & it's not gonna expire soon like the rest of the promotion product in Ta Kiong. Usually, I get it at RM6.50 from Choice Daily but the usual flavor lar like Pizza, Savory, Cheesie etc. These 2 new flavors (both with cheese ...yummy) goes well with the chunky mushroom soup... I likey a lot3. My cousin is back from GERMANY after a 3 months vacation work stint & she got me CHOCOLATE!!! Happy happy!!!

4. I luv sunset... the colors, the sky... so pretty...5. My healthy cactus blooming again ... look... the torn is taller than the flower bud:6. The naughty little niece that have endless antics up her sleeves... always putting a smile on our faces.

Selamat Hari Raya to my Muslim friends!!

How I wish I can afford to just fly out to somewhere for a get-away vacation.

hai .... bo pien .. holiday at my private resort at home.

However, there are things that make me happy over the past weekend:

1. NO WORK for 3 days because of Hari Raya.... YAY!!!!!

2. It's Hari Raya ... and the best thing about raya is the FOOD like kari, rendang & ketumpat from friend's buka rumah .. yummy yum yum... & the real BONUS : I get to eat cakes for 3 straight days for free :) the cheese cake made by Akhasan is da BEST!!!

3. Went for my monthly Spa & Massage @ Sliming Sanctuary. ah ... after a long week of work I was really looking forward to this.

The session start with :

i. Goat Milk Jacuzzi. I always feel rejuvenate with this deliciously pampering spa.

ii. Whole body polishing (literally every single surface of my body except u know where lar) . Actually it's just scrubbing the skin with fruit-based & green tea extract (claimed to improve skin tone for dewy soft skin).

iii. Followed by pressure point massage. It's a delightful treat for tired & aching muscles.

iv. Finally the bamboo massage starts. This relaxing massage uses aromatherapy essential oils. That's when my oohh & aahh starts...

4. Roasted.Duck.Skin at Li Garden, Hock Lee. Enuff said. 5. Strawberry Ice (without the cream), but to my surprise it taste GOOD. Summore o buy 1 get 1 free. I'm such a sucker for free stuff :) like old people always say: Good Thing come in pairs & it's LOW FAT. Now I can eat twice as much.

5. It rained since early morning. And the weather remain cool and pleasant for the rest of the day. Thank you God. Here's the view from my kitchen.

6. I learn to make Prawn Salad & very proud to say it taste GOOD :)

7. Welcome the new member in the family. I think I'm addicted to buying cactus haha. I came, I saw, I buy.

The weekend has been beautiful, peaceful & relaxing. I am happy and that's all there is to it.

C how silly & mundane stuffs like these can make me so happy.

I hope that your Hari Raya was just as meaningful.

ah .... finally the weekend is here.... yattaaaaa!!!!!

but *&^$#^& I need to work on SAT (there goes my long awaited rest day). Spend 1 day at the office cleaning up s$%t due to the remark by our "GENIUS R&D" as auditor coming next week. ^$%#&^% Plan & Strategy my ass. ^*^)(^%$ Once the data collection & analysis done, I quickly swipe out of office at 5pm, I even skip lunch so I can go back faster.

By 6pm I was already at Satok Night Market. So many stuff I wanna buy but did not:

Bought prawn, vege & fruits (peach, pear, jambu & papaya)Painstakingly prepared dinner: Tapau Sio bak & Cha Sio, Tapau KFC, fresh midin & corn soup . ahhh .. home cook meal (eat at home meal is more appropriate I think hehe) Sunday.is.GOOD. Out for breakfast with friends. Had laksa & teh si peng. Then headed home as gaming addicts are heading to our house for NARUTO's battle.

I left the boys at home as I was being ignore.
Went to grandparent's house. These are flowers I stole from my grandma's garden. Just CUT & PASTE. Tadda.......
Then went food shopping for lunch as hubby's butt is stick to the game room's sofa. Bought fresh chicken & stuff. Forgot to take photo of the lunch (ginger chicken, tom yam soup, french bean with baby corn & small kai lan). Actually my bro came & help me ..er... ok,ok ...he cook everything. But I made dessert, Pineapple Agar-agar. Pretty eh?As my babies are getting so big, got bigger pots at 4th mile pottery area. Now grow my babies, GROW!!
The plummer came to the house while I was in the mist of a BIG project at the balcony. After turning & twisting he broke the news to us: our old tap is terminal & there's no cure but to replace it. With a heavy heart we agreed to it & said our goodbyes.Once the plummer left, my BIG project was completed.
I created a mini dessert garden with a few cactus & a mini pagoda i bought from pasar malam.
If you look carefully (picture enlarged below), u can see that I got a pet for my Cactus... hehe

Since I was in a good mood, I offered to susah payah prepare dinner while my bro watch Fifth Gear. Fried eggs + sausage & warm-up the left over from lunch.

Then my favorite time arrived: DESSERT TIME: yummmmy ice cream with chocolate coating

What a perfect ending to my weekend!!

Wish I have a garden

As I lived in an apartment,
I don't have the luxury of having my own garden.

hmm...Thinking back, the reason I opt for an apartment is so that I don't have to trouble myself with maintaining a garden (no time, not lazy yea) ... hahaha ... really contradicting my self le...

here's the pathetic view of the apartment garden from my deck chair at the balcony.

I wanted some flowers & greens in my balcony, that would not take too much trouble like watering, weeding & stuff.
That's why I ended up buying CACTUS ...... pat on my own shoulder... I'm so clever .... now I have a mini garden at my humble little balcony.... here are some photos.

now I'm a proud & happy mini garden owner :)
