Happy 12th Birthday my baby brother, Wiliam, the baby in our family. With the 20 years gap between us, u sometimes call me "ma" by mistake... heheh... Nowadays, u rather spent ur time "Goin ONLINE" rather than go out with us to Sunday Market. Request for a PSP but I'm worried about your studies la.

The 4 of us (SexyLips, Boldboss, hubby & I) went to Hilton Steakhouse for dinner. Very the atas hooor... hahahah... thanks to the 21st Anniversary Promotion, I can afford to be back at this special venue.

Our wedding ceremony was held here, right at the Steakhouse 2.5 years ago... ah sweeeeeet memories... I loved the wide windows with the view of the garden & also the Waterfront. I wanted a garden wedding but with our "super hot" weather it was just too troublesome that's why the compromise of just the view heheheh...Guest signing in at the entrance with our selfmade wedding album proudly on display hehehheDuring the prayer...

Hilton was very good to us that they even decorated the place up...

oopppsss... walking down memory lanes... hahah... ok... driving back to current lane...

The waitress gave us a menu to look through for us to order drinks, appetizer, etc. I ask for ice water but was told that it would be mineral water 500ml (holy shoot it was RM9 per bottle). Last time I remember they served ice water without even waiting for us to request for it. Now it's all about the $$$.

Boldboss ordered Ice chocolate RM10.50, he loved & praised it a lot. Like a super kao kao chocolate drink. I got my usual fav, Cappuccino RM7.50. Hubby ordered a Mojito RM19 (a cocktail of Vodka, lime, sparkling water & mint)! looking something like this... wishing he was at the beach...Then the free stuff started to appear on our table. 4 types of bread arrived with the butter, tomato & garlic. We were hungry so the attack was fast & furious. When we finished it, the waitress even offered to bring more bread for us, but declined fearing we will get too full but accepted more butter & tomato hehehe

They even served us complimentary appetizer, fish. It was goooood. Boldboss agreed totally.Mushroom Soup RM19 was a total waste of my hard earned money! Ta-da... Our Main Dish: RIB (only RM21)! It was beef ribs. Came with potato, corn cobbed & some vege. The meat was soft & tender. Very flavorful. Hubby was suggesting we come here more often -_-"It look like a small piece, but boy was I full. BTW, they served me the smallest piece (**angry**) among the boys...The complimentary desserts. YUMMY chocolate! I heart Hilton!Total damage to our wallet...

Overall, with the promotional price, the FINE DINING Experience is totaly worth it. HILTON should have this kind of promotion every month.

Wedding Memories 2

The Wedding Reception was right after the ceremony. The guests moved from the Steakhouse to the Hilton Grand Ballroom...

The decoration was handled by the florist right at Hilton Hotel. I chose her as she is most familiar with the Grand Ballroom layout. I specifically request for the flower stand to be lighted up and wrap with organza. As the Wedding Color Theme was Gold, she used white & yellow flowers... a lot of Snow White Lilies were used which I totally adored... The golden candles were purchase from IKEA S'pore during the X'mas season.

The Dragon & Phoenix Ice Sculpture by the buffet table... Fairy lights on the stage was our idea too where it kinda flowed down from the top to bottom like a river...

The HUGE piece of card for guests to sign was made by my Bro & SIL.

Our theme was PERFECT PAIR, that was used as the Wedding Invitation Card theme too. These fragrant pears were bought in KL.

Matched-in to the Grand Ballroom... my flower girls were doin a fantastic job of throwing the rose petals hehehhe... The dinner start at 7pm on the DOT as I stressed again & again that I don care if people r late or whatever. NO RUBBER M'sian TIME!

Look at those vines on the MAIN Table... it was gorgeous... mayb I'm the only 1 that noticed it... I opted for a LONG table so that guest can see us ALL NIGHT LOOOOOOOONG... kidding... I wanted to b able to see everybody & it was something different... actually I request for something like the Harry Porter Style where long tables used for all the guest too but there was not enuf space...

The figurine of a couple hugging was the centerpiece at every table with candles around it and rose petals scattered about... The PERFECT PAIR Biscuit was a favor for all the guests...

We hav opted for a Western Cuisine Buffet... with losta desserts...

After taking like a million photos, then went to change into something more appropriate in a Ballroom.

Then we matched-in again... We were getting hungry & started to eat... I was waving from my seat to people like a celebrity le

Then the CAKE Cutting Ceremony... I loved my Wedding Cake Top, cost a bomb btw from Australia, that showed the bride dragging the groom forcefully... hehhehe...

Then we fed each other the cake... lucky no other kinky request by the guest.

During the Wedding Toast, as no Alcohol is allowed in Baha'i religion, we used Sparkling Juice which we got last minute in the supermarket as I totally forgot about it. Thinking back I should hav prepared a more SPECIAL Beverage, not the ~RM8 each bottle from UNACO... which taste rather horrible hehehehhe...

Hubby was havin a hard time opening the bottle so I help abit HAHAHAHAH... which was really funny. I was glad hubby chose this white wedding gown that came with a crop jacket. Hubby thinks the jacket looks elegant. My flabby arms would b horrendous without the jacket.

Then my dad walked me down from the stage and gave me away for my 1st dance with hubby, who was waiting at the dancefloor...

Then we asked people to join us at the dance floor... but u know lar M'sian, all veli SHY 1... but my parent, Bro & SIL joins us... finally SexyLips too... too bad nobody else wanna utilize the dance floor.

Those large flowers were given away to my MC (cousin Valerie & hubby), my Aunt who baked those pear biscuit, my MIL & my mum. I announced this before the event ended so that those "Granny" don't just pull out the flower and destroy a pretty bouquet of flowers.

Those smaller bouquet on top of our main tables were given away to friends that make this event such a memorable 1. The Ceramic Figurine & Candle Holder were also given away as gift to the guest, which was gone with-in minutes after the announcement was made.

The dinner ended by 8pm & all were dispersed by 8.30pm. It's a record I think for those that attend wedding which usually drag on until 10pm.

I'm feel so blessed that everything went OK and I had the time of my life & loving it till today when I think back. It was a BLAST!!!

Wedding Memories

MY OUR DREAM WEDDING came true 2 years ago today. I wanted it 2 b sort of traditional, but not too ma-fan. An event that don't take the WHOLE day. I'm lucky as my parent & in-law let US decided everything for the wedding (actually I did not ask them for their opinion, I kinda decide everything & just informed them). It went smoothly & I was so very very happy.

Everything was executed as planned in the HOTEL itself. No getting here & there & here & there. I get so tired by the usual wedding that I attend here where the make-up session start at the ungodly hour of 4 in the morning.

And I'm very proud of this wedding album that I compile...

1pm - Woke up pretty late as I did a last minute slide show until very very late. I checked-in at Hilton Hotel & let the make-up person did her magic... which I really do need!

Hubby had long hair that was PERFECT for this costume. The hat was a gift from MIL... but hubby's head is kinda too big... hehe

I loved my cameraman, Ah Fung... he managed to capture these magical moment...

The family portrait... in the background is my hand held bouquet of red roses... a gift from my mummy. She also bought 5 dozens roses that was used for the wedding ceremony centerpiece, the corsage for VIP, the flower basket rose petals and was all arranged by my florist without any extra charge.

The Chinese tea ceremony wedding started at 4pm at the Hilton Steak House (the tables & chairs were cleared out & replaced with 60 chairs line up nicely for the guest). The restaurant has BIG windows facing the hotel garden. I did not want the heat to kill me by having a Garden Wedding and the windows let me bring the garden into my wedding venue... I'm clever le...

5pm All guest had arrived for the religious part of the Wedding Ceremony.

Ceremony started with prayers... read by my Dad's Sis & Hubby's Brother (who read from the Christian Scriptures)

My cousin Valerie read a beautiful Baha'i Marriage Tablet from the Bahai writings.

The exchange of wedding ring... right after reciting our own wedding vows... something along the lines of loving each other for the rest of our life... and end with this: “We will all, verily, abide by the Will of God.” which is required in a Baha'i marriage. That was why we were holding the microphone.

Then we signed our wedding certificate... The gold pen is a gift from my dad... thanks daddy as I totally forgot to prepare a pen.

Then we supervised our witnesses, hubby's classmate & my friend, signing the document.

phew! The ceremony was over, hence the clapping & handshake! Thank god everything was smooth sailing.

We were officially married by 6pm... 2 years ago...
