A waste = Knees Up Mother Earth
Could not understand the humor in the book. Not planing to finish reading it.

A steal = Death from the Woods
Enjoyed reading this. The sarcasm was top notch.

What a SHOCK!!

We, as in hubby, me, MIL, SIL & 2 year old niece Esther were on our way to dinner few nights ago. Some of the conversation in the car got me really awkward.

Stopping at the traffic light junction, Esther impatiently scream : "Aiyooooo!! Meh meh lo" (translate : faster faster lo). We all just laugh & said she's a parrot & copied from hubby (yea, he cursed most of the time when driving, but not in front of family members).

Some1 driving slow in front of us, Esther: "Ki si lah **start blabbing something** (which translate to : go die la...) I quickly start to calm Esther down & told her not to say that.
SIL was starting to ask, "So who teach you to say that, 2 sim **me-_-"** or 2-chek **hubby**??
Me & hubby start to deny & playfully point fingers to each other & just laugh, trying to change the topic.

Then when hubby's window got stuck & did not wind-up, Esther scream: "Oh NOooo!!! SHIT!!" I started to cold sweat. But I thank god she din scream, "F%$K!!"

Note to self, have to remind hubby to control his flowery language in front of Esther. Too much vocab is not a good thing sometimes.

The innocent & cute Esther...

When Denial Is NOT the Path to take anymore

My pants are getting so much tighter. I just ignored the fact & placed those pants at the bottom of the wardrobe. It was a good excuse to go shopping for new pants. Smart eh?

After a few months, I can't fit into those new pants anymore. Again I tried ignoring the fact & stash it to the back of my mind.

This conversation happen a few months ago:

SexyLips look at me while I was sitting at my work chair, “Is that… your tummy?! Tell u don eat so much liaw!”

Then SantaLouis says to me, “Yeah man, you’ve put on weight.”

I have this ability to auto filter their comment away. I've only put on mayb ~4 ..ok ok I lied it's 8 KG only wa. What do they know about looking good anyway?

Last week SexyLips & I went to weigh our self at the in-house clinic.

OMG cb SexyLips is lighter than me. HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN??!! He's a MAN with 6 packs (mini ones hehe) & taller than me (althought only like 2 cm).

SexyLips stared at me and just laugh, "Faith ah... You cannot already. CONTROL, control lar...”
I just scream, "OMG... You better EAT MORE LAR... How can I be heavier than you?? Are you sick??"

yea...I'm still in FDM (Full Denial Mode).

Then the ULTIMATE BOMB Explode in my face… when in A SINGLE DAY, 3 colleagues asked whether I’m pregnant or not?

I stared back at them and just said softly, "Nah, just fat lar"

I looked down at my tummy self-consciously, doing that cepat-cepat-suck-it-in-without-looking-obvious thing.

And then I realized why I’ve gotten so many empire waist tops & loose cutting blouse. I wish I could just stated that it's merely a trend. But it’s not. It’s my belly. My flabby arms, My thighs. I miss my slutty tops that I can no longer wear due to my dreaded muffin top. I miss my almost flat belly, I miss my shapely legs, I miss a time when I could just slip on anything & not worrying whether I looked like a BAK CHANG or not... I know I have a weight issue. That's the 1st step, admitting I have an issue.

Sigh! Ang chua cho? What to do?

I cannot tahan skipping meal, bcoz I'll go crazy thinking about food! Maybe I should cut down on the eating. But there are so many yummy food around. So I've started to eat slightly less rice with more meat & vege.

NO, sorry KennySia, DETOX for 1 week I SURE FAIL... CANNOT one! Mission Impossible.

SexyLips suggested MEAL Replacement... 1000% Gagal.

I also cannot skip my Ice-cream, chocolate & keropok late night supper combo... I'll be awake thinking about them if I skip... Recently I started to cut down to ~half of the portion of the JUNKs I take daily. So instead of 1 big glass of ice-cream, now it's a small glass of ice-cream.

I never had time to exercise, mayb just sexercise...hahahahha. The only stretching I do is while using the public toilet bcoz I dare not sit. I'm too lazy to hit the gym & surely I'll just waste the money paying for membership. But to really maintain a good healthy body, I need to take the exercise part more seriously.

As I was back home before 6pm today, I decided to take out my spider web covered jogging shoes out & walk for 5 rounds around my apartment jalan raya. Each round is roughly 400 steps. I'm really proud of my achievement although it's a small baby step.

Hopefully I can maintain my current weight & not gain anymore extra kilos. And magically my tummy & arm will be toned too hahahahahha..... I wanna hav a genie in my lamp too ...

Within a span of minutes, the sky colors just changed...

The sunset that I soaked in while finishing my walk.

Mr. HO ho ho's Fine Foods

It has been months since we last dine at Mr. Ho's Fine Foods, Crown Towers. I really missed the mussels & pasta here.
This photo is taken by Esther... She's quite a talented photographer.
Started with a salad set with Warm Bacon & Walnut RM19.90. I like the bacon, nicely grilled. And the green vege was fresh & crisp. The chef added "Yu Chang" or fried garlic, a different taste from the normal Sesame Oil or Balsamic Vinegar. The Walnut were not really fresh I think as there's a smell, a NOT FRESH smell. For salad, we usually just pick & choose the ones that we have not tried. The appetizer that I miss the most is Mussels in Chilli Cream Sauce RM15.90. I really love the cream sauce with the bread. Sooooo creamy can die.....Crispy Roast Pork with Apple Sauce RM18.90. Why the apple sauce? I don't really like that combination. I just loved the pure estacy of biting into the golden crispy roasted pork skin. This is another 1 of the side dish that MUST order when dining here. The set came with mashed potato & cauliflower. My SIL ordered this Asian Pesto with Bacon RM14.90. Your eyes are not playing tricks, it's really green in color.A lot of parsley were used for this dish. A bit too fragrant heavy for me, as the cream were mixed with parsley too (thinly chopped). Not your typical pasta dish. Try this if you really like parsley.
I ordered my usual Alfredo Pasta RM 14.90. I like my pasta creamy & cheesy... my SIL had 1 bite & scream SooooOOO creamy!!! Well that's how I like my pasta & Mr. Ho never disappoint.
Hubby ordered the Pork Chop & Bratwurst RM22.90. The pork chop was rather salty, the taste is below par. The Bratwurst is good but the portion is rather small, and size does matter.
My MIL ordered the Prawn Pasta RM19.90 that came with 3 medium prawns & a small portion of roast pork. I forgot to take photo of this dish. The pasta is slightly spicy & not too creamy. I still prefer Alfredo any given day lar.

I think the price are really reasonable too. And dining on weekdays are great without all the crowds as the dining area is quite small.

Goh Fun Kee (Bak Kut Teh)

Had GREAT BAK KU TEH on an AWESOME Sunday morning. Jeff raved about the Bak Ku Teh to hubby & dissing our fav Bak Kut Teh in BDC. Hubby wanna go there to judge himself. Well I tag along placing high hopes for GREATNESS. Well, we were not disappointed. Goh Fun Kee Klang Bak Kut Teh is located on Eastmore, near 2 1/2 mile Maybank. For 2 years I've been passing by this shop, but never bothered to go in and try. It's really a Kuching best kept secret.

Like this is gonna disinfect the spoons & forks.
We tried the normal Bak Kut Teh, RM8.50 for single serving. We were ask to choose 3 type of meat. I picked Pork Ribs, Pork Soft Bones & Sam-Cham-Bak (3 layer meat). The soup was great, not too bitter but still full of flavor. I likey this alot.
We also tried the Dry Bak Kut Teh, also RM8.50, single serving. phew... this one is really SPICY, they used lotsa dried chili too. If you like spicy food, you will like this 1. But I still prefer the normal Bak Kut Teh with soup soup soup.
Am s.a.t.i.s.f.i.e.d.

The above breakfast cost RM21.50, with 2 dirnks.

not another -_-"

Was looking forward for my virgin Dim Sum Breakfast at Joyous Shanghai, Lok Thian. Went there at 9am but it was closed... dang. The sign state it only opened at 9am on Sunday & Public Holiday... No choice went to Padungan's Small HK as usual... I always order this (chix feet), yummy with all the preserved black beans:
Ordered the usual dim sum & pau. Today I tried their Prawn chee-cheong-fan, turn out to be quite good. yea, I'm not hard to satisfy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On the way home, hubby passed by MD Motors (not sure the name) & caught a glimpse of something bcoz he got all excited & told me that we HAD to go back & check it out. And so he made an U-turn back for this, a Honda NSX:omg it was so low... just compare to the car at the side... look at the ridicioulously low bumper, how to drive this in KCH roads that full of potholes & bumps -_-" i know how I raved about low rider but this is WAY TOO LOW.hopefully this is not a hint that Hubby wants ANOTHER CAR for his birthday.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I found a good way to get rid of the sight of my hideous flabby arm and I don't even need to do any exercise...hahahhaha... I bought a blouse that is super puffy at the sleeves from Padini. I really like it. It's so loose at the waist too, a great way to cover my bulging tummy too. Killing 2 birds with 1 stone...

what to get??

Casual chatting in the "work place" with my hubby & his boss... while waiting for the Japanese vendors to finish their task... we were chitchatting about random stuff when suddenly hubby blurt out

Hubby: wah ... it's coming soon.
Boss: What is?
Hubby : My birthday **while grinning like a Cheshire cat**
Boss: Oh! When is it?
Hubby: Next month on the 12th.
Boss: Ah...
Hubby: Faith **that's me** got me a sports car, RX8 last year.
Boss: haha... lucky you
Me: **trying to escape**
Hubby: **Turning to me** How about this year? Ferrari sound good. **wink**
Me: -_-""

Technically, Hubby bought the car himself, just that I agreed with him. So now, I'm in a dilemma as to how I'm gonna OUTDO myself for this year ??!! Any suggestion guys?? Other than cars, what do most man want? Don't tell me it's MORE CARs.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Went to Cold Storage after dinner, and it's awfully quiet on a Friday evening. My ice-cream need restock & Cold Storage is the only store that have BULLA Full Cream ice-cream (why can't they think of a nicer name), my new love.

Have you ever taste BLACK CORN before??? I'm not that adventurous to try it out. Tried before?? Was it good??
Grabbed the ice-cream, some junk food & we were done. While walking passed Coffee Bean, it look so deserted that hubby suggested to ta pau cappuccino... ko lien the barrister counting ants.
Just look at the car park space. Business not that good eh?
Can't wait to get home to enjoy my coffee. I can only drink latte or cappuccino, and not those black coffee as my tummy is very sensitive.
What a great way to kick start the weekend mood.

Have a great weekend ahead my friends.

How low can you go?!

1 of the disadvantage of driving a LOW rider is that I have to slow down when nearing a BUMP. And today I added-in another new disadvantage in the list... see the destruction caused by hubby while trying to get out from the car:
Poor curb had a trim:
But I'll still prefer a LOW rider as the PRO outweigh significantly the CON any day. Whatya feel??

2nd MC for the year

arrghhhhhh.... DAMN HEADACHE again!!!! My right eye is killing me softly like the 1st MC i took. The worst... I just
wasted my breakfast...

The doctor even said that weekend are supposed to be relaxing & stress free. IT WAS. Maybe I'm suffering from MONDAY BLUES... But as usual my blood pressure shoot up to 140/110 when I'm in pain & the doc forced me to go home to rest... So now I'm getting ready to jump into my comfortable bed & sleep away my headache.

** I am free of all prejudices. I hate love everyone equally**

**update : HUBBY just called & he is taking half day leave. He's coming back home to sayang me... ar... feels so much better now**

better than 4D??

Am in a rather GOOD mood.

I even drove all the way to Batu Kawah Old Township for the famous Bak-Ee Mee.

Finished reading The Cottage. Have to buy MORE books.

Watched a movie titled "Deception". hahah... just bcoz Hugh Jackman was in it, and guys, Maggie Q tits was spotted in a short scene. oh oh oh I have to warn, the story line is rather predictable & deceptively dull. Only watch if U r really FREE & hav nothing else to watch like me.

GOSSIP GIRL's girls were totally HOT in the 6th episode. Although the story is getting abit boring, but get to wash eyes a lot lar.

Followed by 2 episodes of Beverly Hills 90210. By the way, it sucks real bad. They really need a new STYLIST. The clothes they wear are like hand-me-down from the 90's 90210.

Went for monthly Facial Treatment in the afternoon. I'm glad that I'm earning my own $$ and being able to pamper myself is really a gift. I've only left 1 more Facial Session at Slimming Sanctuary (SS). And the current package is gonna cost ~RM2000 for 10 sessions. Unlike the last package I bought was ~RM1500 for 10 sessions. In an effort to cut-cost, I'll be doing my future facial treatment at an ex-employee of SS who has started her own business. I like her method & she's very thorough. So I took up a 10 session Facial (with machine) at RM800 + 2 free facial w/o machine. I'm so happy bcoz it's such a good deal & I get to save a lot of money. She has all the equipments & I've checked out her place, clean & neat. I likey. She's really good, so if you guys are interested, call or msg me yea.

Bought Mega Toto... pls pls pls pls let me WIN...

After dinner I was really free so decided to do some housekeeping & found 1 ANG PAU amidst the stack of bills. I opened it up to ensure that it's empty before throwing it away. And to my surprise, there were MONEY inside. I jump up in JOY and showed it happily to hubby.
Me: This was for our wedding.
Hubby: Wah... this is better than 4D.

It was a great Sunday for me, and I believe you all had a great time too.

Good Business eh

With economy slowing down everywhere, it seems that Setarbak is doing well, even opening a new outlet at Jln.Song.
oh oh oh... forgot to update that I've treated myself the Chocolate Cream Fappuccino (tHe Spring outlet) last week. omg it was GOOD, but regret that I was too greedy & requested the baristar to give me the largest cup size & almost burst my tummy in the process of finishing it... HOW CAN I THROW when IT COST ME LIKE RM14??Nowadays, visits to setarbak is very precious for me as hubby & I has agreed to watch our spending, and cutting down on Setarbak is 1 of them.

Sweet Happiness

There's this rather new place great for dinner at Tabuan Laru area. It's called Sweet Happiness Seafood, located near Choice Daily, it is just a corner turn away after passing J&J Cafeteria. This will be my 6th trip there. I was told the chef was from Holiday Inn (Mei San).I totally dig the "Butter Prawn", exploding with flavors.
I belanja my group of work-colleague for a dinner cum celebration as our group has 2 person being selected for promotion, my AE, the handsome ChangKS, now an Executive Engineer & chiang chiang chiang chiang... ME, promoted to si-tafu Engineer... I know, my BoldBoss is great. I think god is okay with me too. And I'm thankful the group of 8 under my wings are behaving well & reliable.

As it's a special occasion, I booked the private room & ordered several dishes that I like:
1. Cold plate (on a boat)
2. Mango Duck
3. Honey Roasted Pork Ribs with buns
4. Shark Fin Soup
5. Yam Basket
6. Butter Prawn
7.Crab fried with salted egg.

ALL were YUMMY except for the CRAB, it tasted like CRAP, not fresh & too much pepper was used... what a waste...

I enjoyed the dinner & hopefully the rest were okay with the food. All in all I spend RM385 (including drinks) which is reasonable for 10pax.

p/s: I was so busy eating that I forgot to take photos of those well presented food.

Green Packet

Must start the day with a hearty breakfast...
Esther showing the way to pose in a kawaii photo...
Rasjidi's the only rumah we visit. Again there was massive jam towards Santubong.. am SO SO SO glad I'm not driving today as Mr. LomeoHo volunteered driving us. The journey to Rasjidi's house took almost an hour, even Esther manage to take a nap.

Rasjidi's 6 months old son, Alkif Aqif (I think spelled that way lar Louis said so) was really chubby & cute & oh so fair but I din manage to capture a photo... as I was too busy makan. I enjoyed the beef rendang a lot, with 2nd helping as well... I was the last to finish... Free lunch hahahhah...

When I was small, I really like this mini poh piah, the Bak Hu type. This halal version abit of fishy smell. Nevertheless, I still like it.
The Chocolate Cheese cake were YUMMY, I attacked only that as my tummy is over flowing with rendang.
And lucky Esther got a Ang GREEN Pau... bein a kid hav so many advantages...Only went to 1 buka rumah today as the other 3 host Awang, Budiman & Izzahar were out visiting 2...

p/s: Esther is hubby's niece.

Selamat Hari Raya!

Setahun, hanya sekali
Merayakan hari yang mulia ini

SELAMAT HARI RAYA
to all my Muslim friends...

Hari Raya is also a time for forgiveness, so please forgive me for all the things I did or said which hurt your feelings ok? Thanks :)

Went "Open House" visiting with CyKO & Dora, SexyLips & Lengchai.
The 1st house was Azizi's near Satok area. No jam at all which was a relieve to me coz I'm forced to drive as Hubby's driving license expired. Hubby is loving being chauffeured around. I super hate driving to places I'm not familiar with.

Had a nice BeeHoon Soup, Ketumpat with Beef Rendang & Satay Sauce (no more satay, le sigh). I brought Esther along with me & she was really shy at 1st but she had a great time devouring the chocolates & cakes, as captured by LengChai.
2nd house was after the Satok bridge where there was MASSIVE JAM #@#%*&(*&%$%@#$ Stucked & moved like snail for more than 1/2 hour before getting to the 1st roundabout after the bridge. My legs are super tired. My parent went along with me as it's a family friend. ah... at last got curry & satay... YAY!!While being there I was introduced to a rather famous columnist of Borneo Post, also a lawyer, a public speaker, Mr. Dunstan. Here's me hoping that 1 day the photo will b worth a lot... te-hee... Actually I don't really read newspaper la... but my mum went goo-goo-ga-ga over him & said the articles he wrote are a good read, mostly about current affairs of Sarawak.
Ending the post with the kuih raya... the REAL reason I agreed to drive today.SexyLips, boleh I tumpang ur kereta tomolo kah???

p/s: Esther is Hubby's niece.
