PERTH Trip May 2012

Our recent 2 weeks trip to Perth in May (oopsss it's 2 months ago, time really flies) was really fun & relaxing! We explored the city itself for a few days, but most of the trip was traveling down south of WA.

Got the cheap air tix from Airasia... cost RM3000 for the 3 of us including all the baggage fee and food. Our KCH-KL flight was delayed for more than 1 hour, was worried about making the connecting flight to Perth. The Airasia staff was so kind, he personally came and told us about the delay and offered us HOT SEAT so that we can get down from the plane faster. Its lil gestures like this that counts...

And our Australia Tourist Visa was still valid from our last trip to Australia in Oct last year. I was jumping up shouting "YAY! NO need to pay for the Visa again". I was really worried as my bank account shrank quite a lot after paying for the 10 nights accommodation on the road trip down south of WA. And we are really glad that Wendy was so kind and offered accommodation for us when we are in the city. 

 

 Reached Perth ~ 5.30am. No hassle from the custom. Straight to our car rental booth, AVIS.

Our rental car... Toyata Camry Hybrid. At 1st they gave us the wrong car, which was a normal Camry, so we insist he changed it. We wait for more than half.  The car was chosen by hubby. At first I did not totally agree as it was way more expensive than the Hyundai 4 doors. But it turn to be a good choice as it has cruise control, airbags, automatic gear and also we only pump twice for the ~2000km road trip.

 I rented from AVIS cause of the promotion "free 2 days" when rent for more than 10 days. Including the baby seat rental, we paid a total of ~AUD770 (RM2500). Do you notice the purple thingy in the above photo --> VERY IMPORTANT!!! All of Alex fav songs is in that small lil stick :)

 Specifically bought a SIM card from Vodaphone, AUD30 (valid for 30 days) just to navigate around WA. It's available at the airport.

 Spotted this very VAIN mini, with eyelashes o_O

Will update more on the trip. For now I will end the post with what I have been waiting for ...
