just bcoz...

This happen last weekend but was too busy to update anything... actually nothing important or significant happen to me the past weeks... just FULL of WORK WORK WORK!!! This is just me updating just bcoz I got the time now hahahhahah

Breakfast consist of a bad laksa, while for hubby was this nice looking Curry Rice @ Mega Food-court (if I remember correctly at King Centre) RM4.50 from a stall with the big FU. Not really to my liking as it's Chinese Style curry & rice was soaking wet.

Went to pick something up from POSLAJU...
ONLINE Shopping is great!
Could not show you what's in the box *ahem ahem* worth ~RM300 but here's 1 item that I can show lar... Chocolate mask **the pores on my face will be shouting out in unison YUM YUM**
Shopped for food @ Ta Kiong & using up a RM10 voucher I got last week. For card members, every RM1000 u spend they will auto giv you RM10 vouchers. I hav always thought Ta Kiong gave out voucher due to special promotion as this was the 4th voucher I received.

Before leaving tHe SPring, we ta pau'ed BIG Apple Donuts & Cappuccino with our own tumbler, can save RM2 per drink le. Those Starbucks Tumbler is very worth it lor, get it if you r always drinking coffee there.
These past few weeks, I had finished reading 4 books by Danielle Steel: Bittersweet, Family Album, Honour Thyself & No Greater Love... overdosed wit family & lovey dovey stuff... I saw the perfect opportunity to reward myself when I spotted 20% discount (card members) for The Associate by John Grisham.
Then the phone rang... saw the dreaded name. DANG IT! HAV TO GO BACK TO WORK! arrggggggghhhhhh! And there my friend was how my day got ruined.

I think every1 knows about the Hilton 21st Anniversary Promotion & me belonging to the kiam siap group sure don wanna miss out lar...

Hubby & I, together with Esther went for the Lunch Buffet at Waterfront Cafe, Hilton. Kids under 6 eat for free but Esther was the ONLY KID around.
The spread was the usual stuff consisting of alot of MEAT! I loooooved the stew lamb with carrots, the roasted chicken with thai chili sauce, the curry was nice toooo... I did not manage to get anything from the pasta corner and I fell instantly in love with all those CHEESE CAKE... so many variation, got chilled cheese lar, baked cheese lar, American cheese lar, Fruit & Nuts cheese .....I really enjoyed all those dessert served! Mango something, cheese something... nice & sweet, making me a happy girl...except for the creme brulee... it tasted too eggie Hubby did not manage to find the ice-cream & requested the waitress for some... she was so nice and brought us 2 bowls of ice cream. That's Esther enjoying her forbiden food hahhahah... we let her eat her own food, I don't mind her making a mess of the place since she was enjoying herself.
Lastly, the fruits! Had hubby goin back to get more of the fruits... most of the people were gone already & the place was quieter.
Esther took this... she's good leh?
An "ang moh" was leaving & walked by our table...
Ang Moh: You have such a lovely daughter, you must be so proud!
Hubby: Thanks.
Ang Moh: And you girl, is so lucky to hav a daddy & mummy like yours.

and she was sitting like this went he came over.... tsk tsk tsk

Mooooooooore pancakes!

Pancakes!!! More! More! Moooooooooore!!!! That's why we bought more of the pancake mix at Ta Kiong Supermarket. Healthy choice summore, LOW FAT one. 97% fat free le...
Now I remember why I said to myself the last time NOT TO BUY LOW FAT STUFF... it's always a tad less tastier... really. The full fat Maple flavored one is so much nicer. Hershey Chocolate Syrup save the day.ah... whipped cream! I'm so in love with you!p/s: Tonight got a wedding reception photoshoot... will post up pichas soon so that I can get some feedback.

Pancake Galore

I was poison after reading about it from Loi's blog, then also on M's blog about pancake. It has been a looooong while since I had pancake. Miss it so much that I decided to make it too... but I'm NO expert like them lar... and hubby do not trust me in making the pancake mix, so I got all the ingredient from Ta Kiong...Bought Green's Pancake Shake (RM7.80) & Maple Syrup (RM6.95). To prepare the pancake mix, just fill the bottle with water and SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE...
Just melt the butter & pour the batter into the pan & ta-da... PANCAKE with MAPLE SYRUP! It does not look too good but it sure smells goooooooood!
Hmm... will taste good with the Cadbury's Chocolate ice-cream
Hmmm.... might taste even greater with whipped cream too....and I was right!

Mummy's Day Dinner #3

After a satisfying breakfast, we went to this place again... heheh... the car is getting more "maintenance" than me. We were there quite early, only 1 car in front of ours, so the car completed washing & vacuuming even before we finished our drinks.
Esther, hubby's niece who is back from S'pore for a short break was with us the whole day. Her antics just cracked us up. We watched Madagascar Escape to Africa together. She really like the show & enjoyed saying out loud the animal's name.

MIL gave us 2 beef pies & that was for our coffee break in the afternoon.
Esther loved it so much she kept telling me that 2-chek "mai liaw" means that hubby don wan anymore... so that she can hav the pie all to herself. The pies taste really good le. Her vocab has increase increadibly. When we say something in Hokkien, sometimes she repeat it back in English. Sometimes she mix 2 languages together to make a sentence and it's very funny. Ah... we gonna miss her when she goes back to S'pore in 2 days time. We went for a walk at Friendship Park before dinner, at Hubby's Aunt's (father's side) house. After the delicious dinner, another Mother's Day cake was cut... Every1 was eyeing the cake!
This cake, Chocolate Indulgent is from Secret Recipe! It was overloaded with everything CHOCOLATE. I LIKE. Creamy & smooth.From Esther's face, you will know that the cake was super ultra yummmmmmmmy!
Mummy's Day celebration is not over yet. Stay tuned for more!

Mummy's Day Dinner #2

I received the dreaded call last night. The BOSS delivered the worst news: WORK on SATURDAY! sigh... cannot claim OT but at least I can take an off day next week.

Start the day making my tummy happy!
I went in for work at 9 am. By 10 am, tool time was given for EVALUATION to be carried out. By 11 am I started to measure LINEs & SPACEs that took a ridiculous 5 hours straight, which I don't mind so that I can go back when the sun is still up... but then 2 extra measurement was needed for supporting data so I only managed to finish everything by 5pm... glad it was all over so that I can finally go home!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tonight another family gathering at grandma's house. I was assigned to prepare Fruit Punch. Again anything worth doin, is worth OVER doin it... hehehe... I bought 2 big bag of canned fruit. 3 BIG canned Peaches, 3 canned longan, 3 canned lychee, 3 big canned tropical fruits, 3 canned Nata de Coco & 5 canned Evaporated Milk... make up the HUGE POT of FRUIT Punch shown below worth ~RM85. well... it's a HUGE family gathering.
The only thing missing was ICE so I walked to a nearby food stall to buy some ice. While waiting for the ice, this caught my eye... hhehehehhe... TIT BITs... so farnie.
I really like family gatherings... so many food around! Always got something new 2 eat, like this cute Kiwi with Nuts & Chocolate Tarts. It was a fun night with all the jokes & laughter.
Highlight of the night.... Chocolate Blackforrest Cake with fresh cream. From here you cannot guess how BIG the cake is... hahahah... again the family motto in practice... Anything worth doin, is worth OVER doin!
After dinner, we all sang "Ze Shang Zhe Yu Ma Ma Hau" aka "in this world, only mother good" for our grandma... then my Aunts cut the cake together!
Happy Mummy's Day!!!
Valentine's Dinner
It has been FUN today, all in the name of St. Valentine!
In trying to save some money for other more important stuff, I've decided to cook (yes, every1 go ahead & gasp!!) for hubby. Well, he has been in doubt. Asking me more than once if it's a good idea. What can b better than a Candlelight Dinner right at home, with food prepared with luv! hahahaha...
Ta-da! Our Romantic Dining area...
A closer look at the food prepared. If u r really looking, then u will notice my Chocolate Fondue Set. Do u see it?
Chocolate Fondue with Marshmallow, Grapes, Kiwis & Oranges... our dessert which we can't finished as our tummy was in danger of exploding!
The fabulous cook with her greatest dish prepared with luuuuuuuv... The mushroom soup with garlic bread was yummy.
Notice the heart shape cucumber that I painstakingly cut out...
Darling ar, I really want Wii le, can get into shape with it bor!
Ah..... another shot of my delicious Lamb... it's not blood on the meat okay, it's chili sauce.
Cheers!
Baby, this will be our 10th Valentine's Day together. Sometimes you still get on my nerve, but most of the time u just cracked me up with ur antics and jokes. I loved how u can break into a song anytime anywhere, never cared what people would think. Telling me I'm not fat. That I'm the sweetest smelling person in the world. Performing magic act, especially those disappearing coins just for me. Always ask me to take photo as it's material for my blog, dunno if u r bein sarcastic. I'm sometimes jealous of ur computer, but I'm glad u r at home and not at some club or pub inhaling those 2nd hand smoke & stuff.
I love you, hubby.
I cannot promise that
I will not get fatter
I will not be late
I will not hav moods swing
I will not buy stuff on impulse
But
I do promise that
I will always b supportive of u
I will share my thoughts & feelings with u
(but not $, u understand rite?)
I will giv u freedom to b yourself
I will try to understand everything that u do
(sometimes u explaining helps alot too okay)
I will help you archive all our goal
(except the part about stay-at-home-dad)
but
most of all
I do promise u that
I love you!
