Day 5 : Bali - Tanjung Benoa & Discovery

ah... the last day in Bali. Nothing much for today, just a trip down to Tanjung Benoa for some last minute FUN! Our driver Ketut pick us up at 10 am as scheduled. On the way to Tanjung Benoa, we passed a lot of BIG BIG Hotels but did not stop at any.

This was what greeted me once I stepped out of the car...

Look at the long Q of people all waiting for their turn...
I wanna do something different... so I told the guy I want to go see TURTLE! He suggested the package of Glass Bottom Boat + Turtle Island and quoted Rp900000, but since our driver told him to give us good price he was willing to discount until Rp600000. I sucked donkey ass at bargaining I tell you and blurt out Rp300000 (RM100) before thinking & regret it immediately. He agreed to it & will even give us complimentary bread to feed the fish! Dang!

Here's me laughing once I saw the so-called glass bottom boat... ngai ti... SO BIG ar!
I was pissed because I see no sh#t through that puny hole... then they stop and ask us to feed the fish... finally I saw some colorful fish.
After a while, the fish was bored with the bread, so we continued on with our journey... I really like boat rides, specially those fast & furious rides & awesome wind blowing my hair.
~5 minutes later we reach the so-called Turtle Island! Well, it's a cage area at the beach with a few turtles around... but hubby totally loved this stop
They were very cuuuuuuute! Hubby really liked them & said that the turtles are WAY cuter than nemo!Wave hi to every1!
Here's hubby happy face! Was glad he was feeling much better today & was enjoying himself.
Turtle babies! What are the called hor?
Super cuuuuuuuuuuute!!
Here's hubby with another cute turtle, he can't keep away from them!
Besides turtle, there were some other animals too!
Like this photogenic iguana.
A slippery snake...
BATMAN wannabe!
Where are the turtle eggs??!!
A serious looking owl.
There were some other animals but I wanna take more photos with the kawaiiiii turtle before we left.
A new ride called the Flying Bat (I think so as it sure looks like it)
The banana boat!
After the fun in the sun, we need some retail therapy! Off we headed to Discovery Shopping Mall, the largest in Bali. I don't like bargaining, remember the part where I sux at it, that's why I like shopping mall. Price are fixed, I likey.
After all the shopping, I was hungry. Fret not as there are food store rite smack in the shopping area. My shopping basket is cute leh? The strawberry Milk Shake Rp23000 sux. The chocolate pancake rocks!
I was given a complementary tattoo as I shopped for more than Rp500000 in 1 of the shop. The butterfly last for more than 1 week le.
Bye bye Bali!
After staying there for few days, I understand why Bali is such a hit with holiday makers. It is the island for everyone. From art lovers to nature lovers and from honeymooners to adventure seekers, Bali will find a special place in their heart.

Day 4: Bali - Bebek & Tanah Lot (part 2)

With hubby feeling better already, and it was around lunch time... I felt relieved & suddenly I got appetite for food.

Me: Ketut, I wanna have lunch at Bebek Bengil.
Ketut: But it is in Ubud. Very far.
Me: But this will be my last chance to have a taste of this "MUST EAT Dish in BALI"
Ketut: It's in UBUB, not on the way to Tanah Lot.
Me: Oh! .....*a dramatic pause*..... But I still wanna have BEBEK.
Ketut: o_0" ok.

So with a reluctant heart, Ketut drove to Ubud, but he detour using a small, bumpy, lousy, full of pot holes road... it was a jumpy and scary road trip 8( the only consolation was the view of more paddy field & people at their everyday life. Finally we reach after an hour of drive at the famous Bebek Bengil aka Dirty Duck Diner... I was expecting some place small & cozy... turn out it was totally the opposite...
The entrance is already so grand with flower & fountain... even got reception counter & customer service lor.Just look at the toilet behind the hut we chose... so creative...
While waiting for our food to arrive, took the time to explore the paddy field nearby...
Even got challet for rent with a view of paddy field...
Cloudy cloudy day...
The lily pond infront of our hut... we were truely charmed by the unique setting
Our food & drink were already on the table when we got back... yea, we sat on the floor with throw cushion around, very comfy...Ta-da...introducing the famous Bebek Bengil, The original Crispy Duck Rp63000 (RM22) to u. Made from half a duck steamed in Indonesian spices & deep fried for a crispy finish.
Served with rice & vegetables & sambal & chili... YUMMY! Best eaten using fingers... The green colored drink that I ordered cannot b found in kuching 1, called Mixed Freezie Rp23000 (RM8.00) made from fresh Kiwi, Banana & fresh avocado... u can really taste the avocado & banana.
Hubby was sick so he's into his "cannot do anything" mood. So he just sat lazily with "kiau ka" and enjoyed the gentle breeze & scenery, while bein fed with Bebek by me...
He even got time to play around with his camera as his fingers are still clean unlike mine...
The sick boy had Hot Lemon Ginger Honey Lemon Grass Rp13000 (RM4.50) which he can refill with hot water that was provided in a pot.
Me & the famous duck! After the yummylicious feast, we waited at the reception area for Ketut. Was glad hubby was feeling better as I felt sorry dragging him around like this.On our way to Tanah Lot, Hubby felt sick again. I think the painkiller effect has worn off. He was weak. He felt so sick that he request Ketut to send him back to the hotel, but was told we were SO NEAR to Tanah Lot already.

We reach Tanah Lot around 4.30pm. From the parking area, we had to walk a looooooooooong way to the temple passing by a whole stretch of stalls selling cheap souvenirs before we finally had the temple in sight...

One of Bali's most important sea temples, Tanah Lot is built a top a huge rock which is surrounded by the sea.
see those people with umbrellas... so u know it was drizzling...
We walk to the top for a top down view...ah.... finally the sunset view of Tanah Lot... with photoshop help la of course as it was only 5pm... decided not to wait for sunset as Hubby's fever was flaring... poor baby. Besides with clouds like that, it would not be a sunset that I was hoping for.On the way down the hill, saw these cute little green guys...
Passed a nice looking hut on the way down hill... Well, that end our 4th Day in Bali. As hubby was sick as a dog, we had dinner at our own hotel room... man, I can get used to room service.
