Shopping Spree + X-night Gala Dinner

Shopping at tHe Spring! Tomorrow night, 8 Jan is our company dinner... Hubby wanna dressed following the theme for the night. We headed straight for our fav store, Parkson.

So, 1st up was the jacket. He tried on the double-breasted jacket & it was a perfect fit. As hubby's don't have a black pant, he wanted to go CASUAL, as in jeans & loafer with the jacket. But since we were already there, I gave him the Bonia pants to try as well & it was just perfect too... not like the ones we tried earlier on. So... if we get the pants, it means we have to get a black shoe as well bcoz his shoes sudah RIP. It was getting late, we don't want to walk around anymore, so hubby just went over & picked a Bonia Leather Shoe... luckily there were discounts, or else we would have to pay ~RM9xx.

Our company dinner, was held at Borneo Convention Centre. Master Yet was so kind to pick us up. YES to car pool! The theme of the night was Casino Royale (James Bond Movie) & the official color for the night was Black, Red & Gold. When I saw the way the COO & HR Director was dressed, quickly I pushed hubby over to take a photo with them. COO is the one standing in the middle. Make me wanna sing " Long pang! Long lau!" when I see the photo hahahahhah... Hubby looking very smart, making yesterday shopping quite worth it lar... Me? well I can't fit into my dress **sob sob** (certain "place" storing too much fat), so the last minute I had to search high & low for a stretchable black shirt & skirt to match hubby.

The venue was very grand... spacious & the decor was elegant. Food was ok lar... but we din really enjoyed the dinner as the lights was turned off quite frequently when the stage performance was goin on. Hard to eat when u can't see the food!

Overall it was a FUN night... it's not frequent ppl dressed to the nines le...

Rojak Kucei & Handsome 8 in coma

It's the table at the stall where we had a super nice breakfast sometime last week... YUP! ROJAK KUCEI! The BEST in Kuching, some say in Sarawak! It's located at Batu Lintang area, near Prince Vogue Bridal Shop.

The RM5 Rojak with the super delicious fried drumstick... yummy yum yum!

We were at Batu Lintang area to visit our sick car, in coma since 2 weeks ago. 1st, the mechanic change the car battery, RM200+. As that fail, some test were done & found that the spark plugs got issue. Had to import the plug from West M'sia, cost us RM500++. As you can see, the cracks on the plug was very visible. But unfortunately, the check engine light is still there. *&$@#$%^&*!&*%^

After more intensive test being carried out, the mechanic advise was to change the Ignition Coil. This time hubby make all the arrangement to ship the parts in from Singapore himself & it was WAY cheaper than what was quote by the mechanic (who get their spare part from other ppl). Say YES to ONLINE SHOPPING!!! Genuine parts from MAZDA, Japan that cost RM1000+. I was praying hard this will be last part change... or else we gotta rob the bank to cure the car sickness liaw...

After 2 years, this is the 1st time our beloved 8 got so sick. So after burning ~RM1800, the car is finally healthy again, thank God.

I was sold the minute I was told it's the
World 1st Eco-friendly Eyewear.Hubby went for his eye check-up too...

and got this weird looking pair of glasses... heheheh just kidding!Yay... we both found what we like & each got a pair! Wallet came out alot alot alot lighter... but my glasses are now SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT I'm so loving it... Hubby's frame made of TITANIUM so his glasses are ULTRA LIGHTWEIGHT.

That's all... gotta go cook some maggie mee for dinner liaw....

But it's not, it's a TRANSFORMER SHOE! That can convert to a slip-in instantly. Don play play.It's a pair of Camel Weekend shoes...

Friends were telling me about the SALE at LEVI's, which I cannot believe as I've never bought LEVI's with discount evar before in my life. I had to rush to tHe SPRING to see it for myself. And true enuf, there was SALE, a very quiet sale as nobody was in the shop. GREAT!

I cannot believe my eyes, not 30%, not 50% but 60% discount le!

With such good bargain, hubby told me to pick 3 jeans... hehhehe... not 1, not 2 but 3, tiga, san!!! I think I've been a really good girl.

There were not much choices available but it was enuf for me. I like most of it. Yup, I'm not very choosy 1.

I'm so happy as I save a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
For this jean, original price was RM384, I got it for only RM154. yay... I save RM230 for 1 jean. Now, multiple it by 3.

I totally dig the shopping bag that came with the purchase... adding to my collection, I got 2 in RED which I got 2 years ago. man... it has been a loooooooong time since I got any new jeans. I deserved these jeans!

Last night the seller shoot hubby in the face with this comment after hubby spent a few minutes testing the HUGE lens.

Hubby: man... my arm hurt... it's so heavy
Seller: It's TIME for you to get in shape man!!!
Me: hahahhahaha

Then the seller ask hubby some Q as he was 30 minutes into testing this piece of expensive telephone pole, at least to me it is as it look so DAMN BIG & LONG & HEAVY.

Seller: So what type of photography are you into? Weddings? Landscape?

Hubby: hmm... anything & everything
Seller: Any reason you want this lens?
Hubby: hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Me: HE JUST WANT to OWN IT.
Seller: I understand. Dream Lens eh?
Hubby: Yeah.

When we went Hong Kong shopping for this lens (as it was cheapest in HK), IT WAS SOLD OUT every freaking where. Hubby left HK with his dreams shattered. He vowed to return someday for this baby. But now, DREAMS can come true with ONLINE SHOPPING.

I knew the 70-200 was a bit bigger, but nothing prepared me for this, weighing ~1.5kg! The sight of it still made me tremble a bit.

My Professional Looking Photographer hubby...

As his last toy, the D300 cost an arm & a leg, this new lens (xiao hei wu) cost him another arm & leg, his left ball & an ear too, so he is limbless & half deaf & half sterile now. As I know his shopping list is still very loooooong, and I might need his right ball someday, to ease him financially I'm promoting his photography services.

X-mas shopping

Esther missed dinner so we as the responsible adult brought her for a healthy meal, at SugarBun heheheh... it has been a long while since I've step into SugarBun ever since KFC dominated our world. She had a kid's meal with mashed potato, chix nuggets, french fries & a cup of Milo. She loved the Milo and french fries. The chix nuggets were slightly tough & dry.

How can a meal be complete without dessert rite? A beaming Esther seconded my suggestion.Looks like a samseng kia...she kept saying "mau mau mau"... her short term for "An Chang Mau" (dirty cat) I think. The awesome Christmas decor at tHe Spring!

Hubby loved those colorful lights from the projector but it was not on sale. Me joining in the fun too!

A sigh of relieve after all the shopping for the gifts was done...
