Ten Ichi Japanese Restaurant

Had a nice dinner at Ten Ichi Japanese Restaurant...
Zuwai Maki RM11.90 (promotional price)... made with real crab meat...
Just look at those fish roe... very appetizing...Yaki Tori RM7, it's the 1st time I see Yaki Tori not covered with sweet sauce. It was a disappointment. Not sweet. Not flavorful. Just very plain chicken meat on sticks.
Hiyashi Somen RM7 was great. The cool noodle (place on ice) was good. I usually hav soba noodle so this is my 1st time trying out this dish. Thumbs up.

Now you see it...
Now you don't...Torikatsu Don (Chicken Chop with Rice) RM15. Crispy on the outside yet tender on the inside. Preferred pork but this place is halal certified. Tummy can get very full by just eating this dish alone.
With towels & green tea, the dinner cost less then RM50. Very reasonable price if I compared it with price of food in S'pore hehhhehe...

Starbucks

After having breakfast, we headed to tHe Spring for some junk food shopping. It has been a long time since we visit Starbucks (1 of the cut backs since petrol price went up)
Armed with netbook and a book, we were set. Not forgetting our Starbucks tumbler so that we can get RM2 off per drink.
Hubby as usual got his Cappuccino in Venti size as his cup can hold 20 ounces. Which was HUGE. Starbucks doesn't offer the cup sizes in Small, Medium or Large, but in 4 sizes: Short (8 ounces), Tall (12 ounces), Grande (16 ounces), Venti (20 ounces). Grande & Venti are in Italian. Venti means 20 in Italian.
My Dark Berry Mocha Frappuccino RM14... yum yum... as we used our own tumbler, the total price for these 2 drinks was RM21.55 (normal price RM25.55).
Our supply of Starbucks Ground Coffee has been depleted & the 2 packets of ground coffee given by MIL (from Amsterdam) taste weird. So our DIY cappuccino at home has been halted for quite some time. Unfortunately, NO STOCK of Espresso Beans at Starbucks too.

Headed home once we finished browsing tru Ta Kiong for weekly special & grab those special promotional price item & anything that we fancy. Grilled eel (Unagi) was 1 of those weekly special item.

My mood was good so I baked some bisquick for coffee break. I dunno if I loved the salted butter more or the biscuit more. We sat at the balcony wooden chair & pretend we were on holiday & finished the biscuit in record time.
sigh... MONDAY is coming soon...

Masala Bombay

It has been a busy busy week. A lot had to be done, and not much time on hand. I have a BIG personal project goin on which is taking a big chunk of my time. Hopefully it turns out the way I wan it 2 b.

I miss Kuching food so much although it was only 1 week we were away from home... Satisfied my Bak-Kut-Teh craving with Goh-Fun-Kee. Nasi Lemak at C121. Ko lo mee at Expert BDC, etc. Had a lot to compensate.

I loved weekend. But today can't sleep-in as I need to settle some tax related issue. But nobody at LHDN seem to understand what I wan & simply just say "BOLEH!" to get rid of me. So the issue is still NOT settled. Still got 1 week before submitting the tax return.

Had an early breakfast at this place, Bombay Masala (near Kaya & toast branch at Petanak area). They served Indian Food (duh I think the name gav it away)... With Indian people around sure got ROTI CANAI! I ordered Roti Telur (~RM2.50 I think) while hubby tried Murtabak Kambing ~RM4. No ginger milk tea available though. The food is ok, not really over the hill. I will be back to try out Roti Tisu.
hahha... see... I'm not the only 1 taking pics of food anymore...
Handsome 8 was covered with dust after 1 week of neglect. So off we went to The Original Carwash again. Told u this place has bcome a comfortable hang-out area. Just grab a book, sip some lime juice & lie back till the pager go off. The sparkling clean handsome 8 after the car wash...
Went to Guardian to grab Brand's Chicken Essence, as I will b visiting a fren from secondary school in the afternoon who just had a healty cute baby girl. My friends bought baby stuff so I offered to buy stuff for mummy. The meet up last 3 hours hahah... initially I tot the mum needed the rest so planned for a short visit, but once we started to "38" there was no stopping until the baby cried for milk hehehe

Back to the treasure I found at Guardian... It look so delish I cannot resist buying it... A Lip Butter Strawberry Milkshake RM9.90.
But I was disappointed as it's not the tub thingy but in a metal box with no brush attached. It can get very messy le. Taste good though.
hahah... hubby spotted this while browsing at Guardian Pharmacy. Horny Goat Weed any1???
Hubby's Aunt invited us for dinner so I made these as dessert...ah... Seterobeli goodness!Looking forward to a great SUNDAY!

Fooooood in Singapore

Start the day with a cup of Cappuccino, S$5.60 I think...

From Gloria Jeans... had this before at KLCC. Not availabe yet in Kuching. Loved the strong aroma.

Nice quote above the counter...

From IKEA Cafeteria... Meal of the day, Fried Rice S$5.50

And this Grilled Chicken was S$7.50 (i loved those baby carrots). When you are in S'pore, it's best not to convert the currency to MYR so else "chiak beh lok". The simple meal for us cost ~RM32.

After spending more money at IKEA (sigh... hubby threw out a lot of stuff from my shopping cart), we were ready to head back home. But b4 that, how can we miss the S$1 hotdog? Taste great with mustard.

This is the famous Curry Mee S$6.80 (~RM16). Did not disappoint. I like it a lot. Came with a lot of tender chicken meat.

Even got this pager from the stall, so we can collect the food when it's ready. Cool le?

Beef Noodle S$6.80 from above stall that provide the pager...

Cha-kueh... that lack alot of flavor.

While waiting for food to arrive...

Ice-kacang with lotsa ice & Cendol, each S$1.70. It was the cheapest among the list of dessert.

Cendol... yummy with lotsa gula melaka.

Japanese Curry Noodle with Tempura Prawn. Had this somewhere in Raffles City.

Prawn Noodle... the chili paste was da BOMB!

I love the bakeries in S'pore. There have a lot of goodies for tea breaks.

But still I miss Kuching food, alot.
