Flu BUG

hubby made a lot of rules when I was sick:
No kissing la...
No sharing of utensils
No sharing of food & even drinks

but I slipped once... on Wed night, when I fed him half a Cream Puff -_-" that was half eaten by me... oopppsss... hubby bought the cream puff from JD Bakery for me as I was feeling better already

and he fell sick by the next day... poor baby...

and today, the person sitting next to me in the office, Snoopy is on MC hahahhaah...

Takde Super?!

With the fuel empty sign lighted up, we went in search of petrol. Instead of us pumping money to them, we were greeted by the pump attendant telling us politely: "TAKDE Super"

The 2nd Shell station has a sign "Pump Rosak" (spoiled pump) hanging at the dispenser.

The subsequent Shell Petrol Station was empty from a far so we assume it ran out too.

What is happening? WHY NO PETROL??!!
Is else where facing this problem too??

Bad Timing

Actually on Monday morning, I was already having slight headache & 1 of my tonsil were swollen. But I just could not resist the durian. By Tuesday, the slight headache has increased the pain scale to 5 & both my tonsils were swollen. I just swallowed 2 panadol & matched on... no choice... But later in the morning I went to see the doctor & he gave me Vit C (??!!) & deflame lozenges.

I think the visit to the doctor make it worst than before. My head started to throbbed in the afternoon after I took the medicine after lunch. By night time, I was like this...

Could not sleep well last night... the nose was blocked... throat itchy itchy...

Today in the office, the headache pain has reach a scale of 7 & the tissue papers were a permanent fixture on my nose.... now my nose is red from all the rubbing... I need this...

The worst is my mum courrier a care package for me, containing Durian, Langsat, Mangosteen & Rambutan.... but now all my food are tasteless... hai... pai mia ar... How can the timing be so BAD??!!

When Denial Is NOT the Path to take anymore

My pants are getting so much tighter. I just ignored the fact & placed those pants at the bottom of the wardrobe. It was a good excuse to go shopping for new pants. Smart eh?

After a few months, I can't fit into those new pants anymore. Again I tried ignoring the fact & stash it to the back of my mind.

This conversation happen a few months ago:

SexyLips look at me while I was sitting at my work chair, “Is that… your tummy?! Tell u don eat so much liaw!”

Then SantaLouis says to me, “Yeah man, you’ve put on weight.”

I have this ability to auto filter their comment away. I've only put on mayb ~4 ..ok ok I lied it's 8 KG only wa. What do they know about looking good anyway?

Last week SexyLips & I went to weigh our self at the in-house clinic.

OMG cb SexyLips is lighter than me. HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN??!! He's a MAN with 6 packs (mini ones hehe) & taller than me (althought only like 2 cm).

SexyLips stared at me and just laugh, "Faith ah... You cannot already. CONTROL, control lar...”
I just scream, "OMG... You better EAT MORE LAR... How can I be heavier than you?? Are you sick??"

yea...I'm still in FDM (Full Denial Mode).

Then the ULTIMATE BOMB Explode in my face… when in A SINGLE DAY, 3 colleagues asked whether I’m pregnant or not?

I stared back at them and just said softly, "Nah, just fat lar"

I looked down at my tummy self-consciously, doing that cepat-cepat-suck-it-in-without-looking-obvious thing.

And then I realized why I’ve gotten so many empire waist tops & loose cutting blouse. I wish I could just stated that it's merely a trend. But it’s not. It’s my belly. My flabby arms, My thighs. I miss my slutty tops that I can no longer wear due to my dreaded muffin top. I miss my almost flat belly, I miss my shapely legs, I miss a time when I could just slip on anything & not worrying whether I looked like a BAK CHANG or not... I know I have a weight issue.That's the 1st step, admitting I have an issue.

Sigh! Ang chua cho? What to do?

I cannot tahan skipping meal, bcoz I'll go crazy thinking about food! Maybe I should cut down on the eating. But there are so many yummy food around. So I've started to eat slightly less rice with more meat & vege.

NO, sorry KennySia, DETOX for 1 week I SURE FAIL... CANNOT one! Mission Impossible.

SexyLips suggested MEAL Replacement... 1000% Gagal.

I also cannot skip my Ice-cream, chocolate & keropok late night supper combo... I'll be awake thinking about them if I skip... Recently I started to cut down to ~half of the portion of the JUNKs I take daily. So instead of 1 big glass of ice-cream, now it's a small glass of ice-cream.

I never had time to exercise, mayb just sexercise...hahahahha. The only stretching I do is while using the public toilet bcoz I dare not sit. I'm too lazy to hit the gym & surely I'll just waste the money paying for membership. But to really maintain a good healthy body, I need to take the exercise part more seriously.

As I was back home before 6pm today, I decided to take out my spider web covered jogging shoes out & walk for 5 rounds around my apartment jalan raya. Each round is roughly 400 steps. I'm really proud of my achievement although it's a small baby step.

Hopefully I can maintain my current weight & not gain anymore extra kilos. And magically my tummy & arm will be toned too hahahahahha..... I wanna hav a genie in my lamp too ...

2nd MC for the year

arrghhhhhh.... DAMN HEADACHE again!!!! My right eye is killing me softly like the 1st MC i took. The worst... I just

wasted my breakfast...

The doctor even said that weekend are supposed to be relaxing & stress free. IT WAS. Maybe I'm suffering from MONDAY BLUES... But as usual my blood pressure shoot up to 140/110 when I'm in pain & the doc forced me to go home to rest... So now I'm getting ready to jump into my comfortable bed & sleep away my headache.

** I am free of all prejudices. I hate love everyone equally**

**update : HUBBY just called & he is taking half day leave. He's coming back home to sayang me... ar... feels so much better now**

I HATE NURSES!!!

Grandparent's home has been rather crowded & buzzing with activities. All my Uncle & Aunt (all 10 brothers & sisters of my mum) are back in Kuching to visit my grandparent. I wish it was for some celebration or some festivity, but unfortunately it's not, it's bcoz my grandpa is hospitalized.
Blood flow to the left leg & toes has been bad for grandpa until the feet is dark brown in color. At 1st doctor amputate only his toes, but after 4 days, the flesh started to rot so the doctor has no choice but to amputated the limb below the knee, which was what the doc recommended initially but my grandpa refused. It has been really hard for grandpa, but he's strong & facing it like a MAN. He was so calmed before the operation, he showed no sign of panic or worries. Instead he can even talk to the nurse & ask how long the operation will be, although the nurse had to shout to him the duration as his hearing is bad.

Have been rather busy during night time lately as my visiting time slot is usually after 7pm till late. Then my brother will take over the NIGHT shift. Day shift is handled by uncles & aunts.

The 1st night after the operation was the worst. After the operation, grandpa was fine & he was asleep. Then a nurse came & wake him up to give him injection. That's when the nightmare begin. As the time went, the painkiller wore off I think as he kept saying that it's very painful, cannot sleep. I told the nurse to check but she said it was normal & he will b in pain for 3~4 days. Grandpa was having a hard time placing his leg & keep moving it making it worst. So my dad placed a pillow under the thigh area & he felt better. He was trying & struggling hard to sleep. After a long while, when my grandpa was drifting into dreamland, another nurse came & woke him up to take blood pressure & body temp. KNS #$%^&(%$#$ !!! He was trying so hard to block out the pain & sleep and the damn nurse just walked in & wake him UP!!! #$%!@&#$%$#

After doin her stuff, she just walk away. Leaving us to make him comfortable again & assuring him that everything is OK. Massaged his leg & hold it down to prevent his leg from movin about. After a looooooooooong while, I never know I would be so happy to hear grandpa snore. And at that very moment, another f&*@#ng nurse came & woke him up... #$%!@#@$#&%^%#@#$ WTH!!! Why can't the nurse do everything in 1 go & not waking the patient up every hour lar... wtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtf wtf... Until now I'm sooooooooooooo angry thinking about it!!!! cool cool cool down...

Please pray together with me that my grandpa's pain will go away soon & the wound to heal completely.

MBKS & Duck

I received a late payment notice for the "Atap Suei" aka "Roof Tax" aka "Annual Assessment Rate" without EVER receiving the bill. So how can charged me interest summore??!! Went to pay last Saturday & the counter was CLOSED!! mai-ku... People need to work 8-5, how to pay on weekday le??? and counter only open until 4pm on weekday... wai seh man... I envy their short working hours...

No choice had to "Execute this Payment" within the 1 hour lunch break during workday... By 12.45pm, hubby drove like crazy to MBKS. Reach there within 15 minute from samajaya. Was so happy as there was NO Q at the payment counter, the lady at the counter look at my "Letter of Notice" and directed me to go 2nd floor to print out the BILL... So up we went to the 2nd floor and wadthe @#$@$#%^&^%$# office closed until 2pm...

So I went to the Payment Counter again and ask if I can PAY without the BILL?? The answer : CANNOT LAR... MUST GET THE BILL!!
cb, gave u the property address & PAY u $$ also CANNOT... WHAT ridiculuos system is this??

Since we got almost 1 hour to kill, decided to give the DUCK at IMPERIAL DUCK a try. Without hesitating, ordered 2 Imperial Duck Rice (RM6.50) and 2 ice cold drinks to COOL DOWN.

The GOOD : Meat was tender. Enough of DUCKY smell. The skin was "crispy" yet "moist" at the same time, hmmm how to explained hor ...the Exterior Skin was crisp and the Interior Fat was moist... te-hee... i write the worst review..

The BAD : The HORRIBLE smell from the pickled cabbage almost killed me... the KIMCHI wannabe failure
THe UGLY : Portion is quite SMALL (good for those on DIET lar)

Total Damage: RM17.00

p/s: I had to stay back for 1 hour "bodoh sekeliling" after ofice hour to "COMPENSATE" the EXTRA LONG LUNCH BREAK... yup, every minute count.

Ice-cream ripped off

As a MERDEKA Celebration, bought 2 boxes of BULLA Ice-cream from C0ld St0rage... fly all the way from Australia... after my 1st try, I was lusting for it ever since...

This time we got the Creamy Coffee & Vanilla RM34.99. Can't wait to get home to taste this sinful dessert....

As I scooped the ice-cream, I can smell the coffee & vanilla frangrant... ah... so NICE... so SWEET... I slowly let the anger go, replacing with a rush of excitement havin my 1st bite... hmmmm... a taste of HEAVEN...

Dunno if the 2nd box also faced the same fate?? It's Light 98% FAT FREE Vanilla Ice-cream RM 24.99 (promotion price as normally it's RM34.99 too)

Quickly open the easy open LID to check and to my relieve it's FULL as it is supposed to b... But this will be my last time getting FAT FREE Ice-cream as it's just NOT CREAMY enuf... The Vanilla was GOOOOD but with the MONEY PAID, I'll rather hav the FAT & SUGAR FULL CREAM MILK.The only compensation was this 2 bottle of mineral water given as RM60.00 spent in a single receipt. The promotion is valid till 1st Sep 08 at C0ld St0rage.Hopefully by the next ice-cream buying spree, a NEW batch of Ice-cream will be in.

Have not been updating about food as I was mostly disappointed rather than screaming of joy. So I've decided to blog about what not to eat ...hehhee...

1. Let start with Secret Recipe, the Spring. Only 1 comment, they should just stick to selling only those mouth watering cakes.

Salmon with idunnowatsauce (4/10):Chicken Cordon Bleu (Ayam with cheese) 3/10. It doesn't look tempting rite, the taste is even worst.
The food served look so different from the photo in their menu. I did not rate them 1 or 2 because the environment set-up is quite ok. I like the black chandelier lights, very elegant.

2. Manhattan Fish Market, the Spring. Found out from Uncle Google that the chain was set-up by a Malaysian & got nothing to do with Manhattan at all. I tried in Kl before, the Fish & Chips was quite good. But now in Kuching, only 1 word to describe : Tasteless. But mayb they are goin the Trendy Healthy way with No MSG No SALT No FAT recipe. Bcoz it tasted exactly like that.

Muscles with cheese : 2/10 as it was tasteless & I did not even finished it & my mantra has always been "cannot waste food, African ppl in hunger le". So go figure.
Grilled Fish with rice : 3/10

Fish & Chips : 3/10and it was freaking expensive lor, despite the fact that they already cut cost on SALT, MSG & FAT.

3. Singapore Chicken Rice, Jln Song. hahah ... u must b wondering why on earth would I go eat at SCR when my company canteen are run by them. You wouldn't believe me but the quality of food served that I thought was different like Sky like Earth, was now wrong. I ordered Ginger Chicken & see what was served. More like Onion Chicken lor. Only 1/10 as SCR KaNaSai LIED to me!!!! Not even a hint of ginger can b tasted.
4. Chicago 7, Eastmoore Place. It's a new kinda fast food style restaurant, and by NEW I mean they need to shout into a tiny microphone to communicate my orders to the kitchen hands, which by the way, is just behind her. hmm...macam copy burger king saja. & again this restaurant has nothing to do with Chicago.

Ordered Mustard Hotdog . Taste so-so, price RM6.90 was a bit up there lor, but still acceptable lar bcoz the place was nicely decorated. But I had to give 3/10 bcoz their service SUX. It took forever for my food to be served. Then I need to remind them about my drink. Then after 10 minutes, tell me "Sorry ar, milkshake habis". Cis... bagi tahu cepat cepat kalau takde, not like after 10 minutes. 5. Korean Da Om BBQ House, BDC. Was looking forward to eating Tang Hoon with Beef & Kimchi soup. Well, to cut story short, by comparing to Koreana, both was BAD. Unfortunately Koreana is closed until further notice as they are moving & renovating the new place.

Beef Tang Hoon: 3/10. the tang hoon used was too big in size (& bigger doesn't always mean better for me) & the I need to search for the slices of beef. No photo as it was too UGLY.
Bo Dea Ji Gea: 5/10. It’s steamboat with spicy broth made with pork, kimchi, ham, sausages, beancurds, crabsticks. and by pork I mean 1 whole tin of LUNCHEON MEAT which spoils everything for me. Look at the cheese melting on top. A sight to behold. Good to see, bad to eat.
6. Pizza Hut, Jln Song. Again I got cheated with the NEW flavor offered. hai .... the only good thing is that the cheese bread was AWESOME that came with delicious sauce.. The pizza, I already forgot the name : 4/10.

The waitress here talk so fast **goodafternoonhereisthemenumyfrenherewilltakeurorderin5minutes** I catch no ball so usually I just answered "ok" to everything lar. As always I get suckered into trying the new flavor also bcoz of can play stupid spin the arrow game to get free food. I ended up with Strawberry smoothies. Not bad le.

7. Elephant Cafe & Bistro, Ang Cheng Ho. I loved the drinks, a wide array of choice, yogurt to smoothies to ice-blended drinks. The drinks are rich in flavor & the fresh cream use is really FRESH & the portion is large. The problem is that's where the good things end. I've tried their western menu before & it SUX but I wanna giv it another try, but again I was disappointed. Last time, the beef is so tough, exercising my jaw until give up. This time I ordered Lamb. It was soft & too much blood although I ordered medium cooked. & it tasted bland too. So a 4/10 as the drinks were GOOD & the place is spacious & clean.

8. Home cooked meal attempt by me is the WORST among all. Period.

Can't wait to get rid of the COUGH!!!

If you think it’s bad enough that when I cough in the office, some silently plot to kill me if I pass it to them. U r wrong.
The worst is at night when I’m lying down trying to sleep. My throat, it tickles, and it irritates, and I cough & I cough & I cough.

Then a bomb drop when *sensitive* hubby commenting "Can't you just don't cough?" 10 Q 4 bein so thoughtful.

Hubby has ban most of my *happy* food & left me not so happy lor.
I miss my daily fix of junk food & I'm craving for it so badly.

I've been eating porridge day in day out that it's just not funny anymore. But hubby's eyes are fixed on me so I can't cheat. damn.

I've make a list of top 8 junk food to reward me (motivating myself to use my mind over body) in getting rid of this cough.

1). Chocolate, I'm not ignoring you voluntarily. Just wait. I'll be back glorifying u soon.2). Pringles....ah ... how I miss thee? Can't wait to try out all the new flavor.
3). Chachos ... u r so near yet so far from me. I've fallen in love with u, tortilla corn chips. It taste way better than Doritos.
4). Japanese Crispy Seaweed, the best is Tom Yum Goong Flavor, 2nd is the Wasabi Flavor.
5). Ice-cream ... yummy ... Peach & Apricot Sundaelicious. My usual is the Chocolate flavor, but I'm up to trying new stuff. 6). Danny's Honey BBQ Chix Wing --> just awesome. I'm salivating just thinking of u.
7). LAKSA , oh Laksa .... I truly madly deeply MISS U!!!
8). Apam Balik, which comes laden with crushed peanuts & planta --> yummylicious
ah ..... now back to using my mind in getting rid of u, evil cough

headache .. go away pls..

My headache is slowly killing me.

The stubborn nagging klcccbkns pain has been here for the past 3 days & it's not getting any better.
I've been drinking tons even though I'm supposed to be fasting.
This feeling of pain like a knife is stabbing at my right eye again & again is no fun at all. Dunno how are my kidneys handling all those painkillers that I take?? The best part, I need to finish reviewing the performance of my all important "kaki & tangan" by this Friday. Just great.
the only comfort I have is that "GodFather" is on business trip since last Friday ... yeehaaaaaaa....

well, here's hoping tomorrow will be a great day for every1 & me 2.

1st MC for the year

Monday was a really bad day ... down with Migraine + Flu + Cough

As usual my blood pressure will shoot up to 120~140when I'm in pain so the kind doctor offered the MC. I reluctantly accepted it as the doctor insisted **hope my boss is reading this.**

So with a heavy heart, I went home when every1 else was having Monday Blues. Took the medicine & sleep the whole day only waking up to have lunch so that I can take more "power" painkiller without having gastric.

It was raining hard last night.

The next day I went to the kitchen balcony, this is what I saw:aarrgggggghhhh........

but look at the nice blue sky ....ah..... what a view!

Made an appointment with the maintenance guy to fix this at noon.

It started well though, go on about our daily routine job, which include jokes flying around, laughing & planning our weekend activity where we can bully our beloved Bald boss.
