With hubby feeling better already, and it was around lunch time... I felt relieved & suddenly I got appetite for food.
Me: Ketut, I wanna have lunch at Bebek Bengil.
Ketut: But it is in Ubud. Very far.
Me: But this will be my last chance to have a taste of this "MUST EAT Dish in BALI"
Ketut: It's in UBUB, not on the way to Tanah Lot.
Me: Oh! .....*a dramatic pause*..... But I still wanna have BEBEK.
Ketut: o_0" ok.
So with a reluctant heart, Ketut drove to Ubud, but he detour using a small, bumpy, lousy, full of pot holes road... it was a jumpy and scary road trip 8( the only consolation was the view of more paddy field & people at their everyday life. Finally we reach after an hour of drive at the famous Bebek Bengil aka Dirty Duck Diner... I was expecting some place small & cozy... turn out it was totally the opposite...
The entrance is already so grand with flower & fountain... even got reception counter & customer service lor.Just look at the toilet behind the hut we chose... so creative...
Our food & drink were already on the table when we got back... yea, we sat on the floor with throw cushion around, very comfy...Ta-da...introducing the famous Bebek Bengil, The original Crispy Duck Rp63000 (RM22) to u. Made from half a duck steamed in Indonesian spices & deep fried for a crispy finish.
Served with rice & vegetables & sambal & chili... YUMMY! Best eaten using fingers... The green colored drink that I ordered cannot b found in kuching 1, called Mixed Freezie Rp23000 (RM8.00) made from fresh Kiwi, Banana & fresh avocado... u can really taste the avocado & banana.
Hubby was sick so he's into his "cannot do anything" mood. So he just sat lazily with "kiau ka" and enjoyed the gentle breeze & scenery, while bein fed with Bebek by me...
The sick boy had Hot Lemon Ginger Honey Lemon Grass Rp13000 (RM4.50) which he can refill with hot water that was provided in a pot.
Me & the famous duck! After the yummylicious feast, we waited at the reception area for Ketut. Was glad hubby was feeling better as I felt sorry dragging him around like this.On our way to Tanah Lot, Hubby felt sick again. I think the painkiller effect has worn off. He was weak. He felt so sick that he request Ketut to send him back to the hotel, but was told we were SO NEAR to Tanah Lot already.
We reach Tanah Lot around 4.30pm. From the parking area, we had to walk a looooooooooong way to the temple passing by a whole stretch of stalls selling cheap souvenirs before we finally had the temple in sight...
One of Bali's most important sea temples, Tanah Lot is built a top a huge rock which is surrounded by the sea.see those people with umbrellas... so u know it was drizzling...

We walk to the top for a top down view...ah.... finally the sunset view of Tanah Lot... with photoshop help la of course as it was only 5pm... decided not to wait for sunset as Hubby's fever was flaring... poor baby. Besides with clouds like that, it would not be a sunset that I was hoping for.On the way down the hill, saw these cute little green guys...
