All you need is LOVE

Awesome awesome day! NO getting back to WORK at all for 2 days... praise the lord! I really do need this break so bad… so much work back to back, I have not been resting properly. The stress has made my blood pressure shoot up from 80/120 to 125 to 130 already... I don wanna die young le... so many things I hav yet to achieve... sigh... chamomile tea here I come, it's said to calm people down.

Back to happy stuff, I had Madam Tang's (near Petanak) Beef Laksa RM6.80. Major YUM! I loved those beef tendon & tummy. Satisfied!
hehehhehehe... What else but Food Shopping at Ta Kiong? Got the usual milk, juice, fruits, chips, UNAGI of coz! & not forgetting all the junk essential stuff. Hubby Q'ing to pay parking fee. Look at the trolley, RM180 worth of groceries... man I enjoy shopping for FOOD! and grabbing good deals.
Our microwave oven finally died after bein sick for almost half a year oledi, where I can still use the oven once a day only. And since we r heading to the electrical shop, might as well complaint to hubby that our rice cooker is too BIG, need to buy a mini one as so much rice wasted, all stick to the big pot... so people if u only cook for 2 person buy the smallest available one. We always go back to the same shop for all our electrical appliances... Kok Siong Electrical at BDC. The tau-ke PR veli good & offered us good price. We got NEW microwave oven & a cute little rice cooker!
To those burger enthusiast, I wanna recommend Ramly Burger... it's bigger in size compare to other brand & it taste good... BIG MAC ala Burger Queen Faith style... hehehe with extra egg summore. The only thing missing are those lettuce & pickles... must remember buy those next shopping trip.
As I've missed my facial last week due to work, I quickly grab the chance & went for pampering session... ah... I feel so refresh & my skin felt so clean. I missed those massages on the shoulder & especially the face. I feel the pimple scars on my face are getting better too... will be buying another Facial Treatment package to continue on as I really like her style.

At night I prepared another of my favorite Japanese dish, SOBA Noodle. It's quite simple to prepare. Let me show you... Get a packet of those green tea soba noodle (I got mine from S'pore)
Boiled some water & put in the noodle. Once the water boiled, turn down the heat to medium & let it simmer for ~4 minutes (depending on ur noodle portion). Then drained the water & rinse the noodle under the pipe water... until the water is clear.
Place some ice on the plate then put the soba noodle on top...
Cut some seaweed & put on top of the noodle & sprinkle some sesame seed on top if you wish. The soba soup base can get from supermarket. Just pour some into a small bowl & dilute with water or else it will be too salty. Remember to dip the noodle in the soup and eat immediately, don't soak the noodle in the soup or the flavoring will be too strong.
I prepared some Ebi Tempura to go with the Cold Soba Noodle. The tempura "failed" badly, can any1 teach me how to get perfect tempura???That's all. Quite simple to prepare le. My way of cutting cost, by DIY & learning new ways to prepare food at home.

9 years 9 months 9 days

Baby, I just cannot believe that we have been together for almost a decade already. It felt just like yesterday that we started to date.
The games that we play, even though sometimes childish, still generates laughter from us...
The hide then scare the shit out of you games...
The fart game that u play & thinks it's so funny...
Telling me how much you loved me before admitting u forgot to do something...
Saying sorry with those kesian eye when u don want revenge from me ... like during WAR of Tickle
The language that only we understand, sometimes even when we don't say anything at all

9 years 9 months 9 days of togetherness and we still have a SPLASH! And I hope for many many more splashes te-heee
I read somewhere about the 12 actions for a happy relationship & here I wish to share with you all...

Ask
Listen
Accept
Respect
Risk
Encourage
Adjust
Forgive
Give
Love
Laugh
Comfort

My wish for you all is to have as much love in your relationship as I have in mine!

Momoyama Japanese Restaurant

Dinner at Momoyama, a Japanese restaurant located behind Wisma Phoenix, Jln Song Thian Cheok (the closed down Upwell). It's my 1st time checking out this place, courtesy of Gigaphoton vendors who are here all the way from Japan.I wanna steal this ceramic lamp at the entrance... so pretty... the Chinese character means family.
The comfy flats that I got for myself, got 1 for my mum too... This caught my eyes... I tried Fried Shishamo before but not broiled, so I ordered this. And it was a BAD choice. It was too fishy.
The complimentary side dishes, even got kim che. hmmm.... why this looks familiar ar, like a Korean Restaurant? Then I saw the Tau Ke Nio at the counter, the same from Koreana. No wonder there was 3 pages of Korean food in the menu!Sashimi! love love love... The Chicken Teriyaki was awesome too! The Tako, yum yum and it was the 1st time i eat frozen baby squid... really, it was cold with bits of ice.
Ebi tempura, that came with vegetables & sweet potatoes too. The prawn batter was a bit too bland, me no likey.
The shabu-shabu that I ordered! Look like a flower le?? The Japanese vendor was telling me that shabu-shabu means drugs (?!) Dadah! hm... ya lor, hubby reminded that we also got 1 type of drugs called "Shabu". I think we copycat again lar, as usual.
The pot of steaming hot soup where we put in the onions, mushroom, tou-fu & chinese cabbage 1st. 2 type of sauce was served.The beef was awesome. Just put a slice of meat in the boiling broth, then gently swish the meat back & forth. As soon as the beef turns color, it's ready. Hubby was singing "shabu-shabu" while swishing & those Japanese vendor laugh their head off. Hubby was havin fun practising conversing in Jap. He can hav a decent conversation in Japanese with them. Everytime hubby asnwered them in ni-hon, they seem so happy & impressed that they even quized him hahahah...

Business was slow as I noticed that we were the only customer that whole night. The food was not too bad, but the price was on the high side. I might come back to try their bento sets, more value for money.

Dim Sum Buffet & DONUTS

I fell sick ~ 2 weeks ago... I skip dinner bcoz I cannot stop puking & even my lunch was down the drain... or more appropriately down toilet bowl lar... I just slept away my pain & hunger, and was glad I woke up the next morning feeling ok.

Quickly woke up hubby and told him that I want to compensate lunch & dinner (for the day before) together with today's breakfast. I seriously need to EAT!
So hungry le.

Hubby learned fast that anything involving food with me is a serious matter. He took me to a DIM SUM BUFFET. So clever.
At the Banquet... we were served with a pot of tea immediately & the waitress passed a pencil to me & a piece of paper with the dishes available that can be ordered without limit except for Har-kau that limit only 1 order/person.I ticked all the steamed dim-sum that was available & some side dishes. As you can see, the variety of dishes was very LIMITED, although stated 24 dishes but actually congee, noodle & bee-hoon all are included in it...
Teng teng teng : The 1st round!
I really liked the carrot cake. The rest was so so nia.Then there was 2nd round of Roasted Chicken with Hot Sesame Sauce & also Fish Fillet with Thai Sauce. It was nice but actually our tummy was so full, we took a looooong time savoring it. There was absolutely no SPACE anymore in our tummy for congee or noodle. We manage to only consumed those with blue tick as shown below.Lastly, we ordered desserts, Mango Pudding & Tou-fu Jelly (I mistaken that it was Tou-fu hua). Mango Pudding WINS without a fight!The place was so spacious I like! And bright & clean. We had the big round table to our self. As we sat there taking our time enjoying the dim sum, quite a crowd has formed outside, waiting patiently for their turn. This promotion has only been running for 1 month, so u know lar Kuching lang si si must try 1.

After the buffet, hubby went and bought some Big Apple Donuts for me. Got my old time favorite Chocoholic, Chococinno, Whitnut (filled with peanut butter), Mango Tango, California Almonds & Iceberg (filled with Vanilla Cream).

Then with a heavy heart, I went to work. I was glad the morning started with a BANG! Bursting with energy to get the work done.

What's in the mail??

2 packages arrived, sometime weeks ago... heheh backdate blogging.
Hubby was smiling from ear to ear.
His gift for himself...
He said it's like Christmas, but better because he's getting exactly what he want! Dreamz do come true!
On the right is hubby's new Nikon lens 17-55 f/2.8 DX Nikkor & on the left is the SB900 (according to hubby it's the mother of all speed light).Had been debating whether to get Nikon or Tamron lens. Is the extra money $$$$ spent in getting Nikon really worth it?? The answer is YES!! This lens came in time for a wedding shoot and the photos all turned out so clear & crisp... no editing need to be done! I'm so impressed.

I was surprise that SB900 size is so much larger than his younger brother SB800. man... adding another 415g to the already overweight camera.
Now that hubby has these professional grade lens, he want to buy another D300 or upgrade ;) So he's letting go of his D70 with kit lens & also the AF-S Nikkor 18-200mm VR lens that spent most of the time in the dry cabinet. Anybody wanna buy it? Good deal oooooo. Message me if interested.

Mummy's Day Dinner #4

Dinner was at "Chef Delicious" aka "Tien Chu", 3rd Mile (near Timberland Medical Centre) courtesy of hubby's Aunt (mother's side). The dinner was held at a private room where we even got priority parking in front of the restaurant... sweeeeet.

The food there boleh tahan saja. Nothing memorable. But I remember this "Sweet & Sour Pai Kut" bcoz it was deliciously sweeeeet with a hint of samboi... yumsss!It was a FUN FUN night as the room was equip with karaoke set. The Uncles & Aunts were havin fun singing all those old old old song. The 2 most popular songs, where almost all was singing along was the Hokkien Kua "Ai Pia Cha Ae Yia" & "Ha Si Wa Wu Chi Pak Bang". Even hubby was singing. He even went solo singing "Siaw Wei" hehehhe... Esther being the biggest fan!
The night end with this dessert, a plater of fresh fruit that was nicely presented.That ends the series of Mummy's Day Celebration!

Mummy's Day Dinner #3

After a satisfying breakfast, we went to this place again... heheh... the car is getting more "maintenance" than me. We were there quite early, only 1 car in front of ours, so the car completed washing & vacuuming even before we finished our drinks.
Esther, hubby's niece who is back from S'pore for a short break was with us the whole day. Her antics just cracked us up. We watched Madagascar Escape to Africa together. She really like the show & enjoyed saying out loud the animal's name.

MIL gave us 2 beef pies & that was for our coffee break in the afternoon.
Esther loved it so much she kept telling me that 2-chek "mai liaw" means that hubby don wan anymore... so that she can hav the pie all to herself. The pies taste really good le. Her vocab has increase increadibly. When we say something in Hokkien, sometimes she repeat it back in English. Sometimes she mix 2 languages together to make a sentence and it's very funny. Ah... we gonna miss her when she goes back to S'pore in 2 days time. We went for a walk at Friendship Park before dinner, at Hubby's Aunt's (father's side) house. After the delicious dinner, another Mother's Day cake was cut... Every1 was eyeing the cake!
This cake, Chocolate Indulgent is from Secret Recipe! It was overloaded with everything CHOCOLATE. I LIKE. Creamy & smooth.From Esther's face, you will know that the cake was super ultra yummmmmmmmy!
Mummy's Day celebration is not over yet. Stay tuned for more!

Mummy's Day Dinner #2

I received the dreaded call last night. The BOSS delivered the worst news: WORK on SATURDAY! sigh... cannot claim OT but at least I can take an off day next week.

Start the day making my tummy happy!
I went in for work at 9 am. By 10 am, tool time was given for EVALUATION to be carried out. By 11 am I started to measure LINEs & SPACEs that took a ridiculous 5 hours straight, which I don't mind so that I can go back when the sun is still up... but then 2 extra measurement was needed for supporting data so I only managed to finish everything by 5pm... glad it was all over so that I can finally go home!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tonight another family gathering at grandma's house. I was assigned to prepare Fruit Punch. Again anything worth doin, is worth OVER doin it... hehehe... I bought 2 big bag of canned fruit. 3 BIG canned Peaches, 3 canned longan, 3 canned lychee, 3 big canned tropical fruits, 3 canned Nata de Coco & 5 canned Evaporated Milk... make up the HUGE POT of FRUIT Punch shown below worth ~RM85. well... it's a HUGE family gathering.
The only thing missing was ICE so I walked to a nearby food stall to buy some ice. While waiting for the ice, this caught my eye... hhehehehhe... TIT BITs... so farnie.
I really like family gatherings... so many food around! Always got something new 2 eat, like this cute Kiwi with Nuts & Chocolate Tarts. It was a fun night with all the jokes & laughter.
Highlight of the night.... Chocolate Blackforrest Cake with fresh cream. From here you cannot guess how BIG the cake is... hahahah... again the family motto in practice... Anything worth doin, is worth OVER doin!
After dinner, we all sang "Ze Shang Zhe Yu Ma Ma Hau" aka "in this world, only mother good" for our grandma... then my Aunts cut the cake together!
Happy Mummy's Day!!!
