Naw-Rúz (literally new day) is the Bahá'í new year festival and falls at the spring equinox.
Naw-Rúz symbolises the new life of spring and spiritual renewal.
*my cactus are flowering again after so long*
Naw-Ruz marks the end of a period of fasting. Actually, after the sickness spell was over, I've started to fast (puasa) sunrise to sunset from 2nd to 20th Mar (19 days). Why 19 days?? Baha'i calendar has 19 months with 19 days in each month. It meant that I had fast for 1 Baha'i month.
To know more about the fast here's a short description of the fast: Baha'i fast "essentially a period of meditation and prayer"

The Baha'i community in Kuching held a celebration at Penview Inn last night (the last day of fasting). The celebration starts with prayers, then I began chomping on the sumptuous feast ... haha... really hungry le. The night festivities also include music & dancing.
