the 1st thing that come to mind is FOOD FAIR when Kuching Festival is here... It's always about the food, food, food & more food ain't it!!! It began on 1st August which marked the day Kuching gained its city status 20 years ago... what!!! how can u NOT know??!! and u call urself a kuching lang... tsk tsk... 
It's kinda empty as we there early ~6.15pm. Hubby was happy to get a table as for the past 2 years we had to ta pau & eat at a nearby coffee shop... te hee...
Craving for Thai food so cepat cepat queue up at Bangkok Thai and ta pau (RM3), Tom Yam Soup, Fried Pineapple Rice (RM2.50) & Pandan Chicken (Rm7.50 for 3 pieces). The last two were BAD, real BAD. Luckily the Tom Yam Soup did not disappoint.
The Satey (grilled chix & beef on a stick) were... I'll b honest, the only thing 'special' was the 'kuah' were super diluted, that's the only thing I remember about the satey... sad...
I manage to get the "Hock Chiew Mee" at Mandarin Restaurant, which by the way I've never heard before this, must b some OLD restaurant bcoz the waiter & waitress were old ah ma & ah pek...
And the thing not to be missed is the "Taiwan Siang Chang" or Taiwan Sausage (RM2 each)... YUMMY!... and extra bonus for this year, the guy standing there attracting the customers is yummy too :)~ shhh ... don tell hubby oooo, he was too bz guarding the table.
If you don mind the Q, the HEAT & the FIGHT for SEATs, go ahead & experienced it soon as the food fair is gonna end on 24th August.

faith, did u went through every stall? any other stalls we should try out?
i wish ... but it RAINED ... hai.... that's why I only manage to visit 1 row of stalls & had to run #@#$$%&^*&&^%#$
fiona : that little cutie pie is hubby's niece... hubby is more a friend to her bcoz he himself is still a kid... hehehe
