Mitsu Shabu Shabu

Spotted a new shop, Mitsu Shabu Shabu, located opposite tHe Spr1ng (the new block next to RHB Bank). It's a Taiwanese-concept steamboat restaurant. The last I had was in Jln Song, but closed down oledi lar... bcoz it sucks. Hopefully this new outlet is better.

In this cook-it-yourself restaurant, customers dip razor-thin slices of red meat & vegetable chunks into individual pots of boiling water, then douse the food into bowls of spicy sauce for flavor.

There are a varieties of meat available, like chicken, seafood, lamb, beef, but NO Pork (halal) to choose from. Some are in sets so easier to order.

Whole fish & fillet, it's easier to get just the fillet, as the fish bones were killing me:
Vege set, that came with tauhu, yaks:Frozen Dumpling, I had to cooked for a long time for it to soften:Lamb slices, when dip into the boiling soup u need to chant shabu-shabu and stir the meat for a few seconds only, that's what the japanese guy in tokyo taught hubby...hahaha:Here's the assorted meat set, consist of prawn, squid, chicken, fillet, and beef.
'Shabu shabu' means 'swish swish' in Japanese, a reference to the cooking process. It's delicious and low-fat.
Ice blended drinks we ordered, the flavor, as usual, strawberry for me & chocolate for hubbyCan u guess what the below photo was trying to convey???
It's the 32nd birthday of hubby's elder brother but he's in Singapore. We help him celebrate in Kuching including eating everything hor... Grandpa is damn proud as he was able to cook for himself...
The above meal for 5 persons, cost RM 88.80.
Not bad. Not bad at all for a decent meal.
