Fish & Co. (S'pore Jun'08)

Seafood in a PAN... at the IMM outlet, S'pore.
They served quite a variety of fish and seafood in their menu
(no other type of meat are served, kan they are called fish & co, bukannya meat & co).
Started with Fisherman's Salad, prawns and crab sticks on a bed of green salad and sweetcorn; quite nice but nothing exceptional lar... lupa to take photo...I ordered one of their specialties - the New York Fish and Chips (S$14.90) as my main dish. It was white fish with parmesan cheese stuffing with lemon butter sauce and french fries. Forgot to ask what kind of fish it was, but at least it didn't taste muddy. The fish and the cheese would melted in my mouth and I can't help but get one more bite. & 1 more bite. & another bite. One more?
I was starving before i started to eat, but by halfway my tummy was already full! U cannot really tell how BIG the fish from the picture & also it was stuffed with CHEESE. My tummy was goin to explode most probably because I've been eating hubby's Seafood Platter for 2.
U might ask why order Seafood Platter for 2 instead of 1??
Here's why:

Seafood Platter for 1 ($19.90)
Platter of Seasonal fish, calamari, king prawn & the chips plus rice 2. Nothing new there, what i like is the tasty rice with raisin.

Seafood Platter for 2 ($35.90)
Nevertheless, Seafood platter for 2 is definitely more worth it than the platter for 1. Lets do some simple kira-kira, platter for 1 cost ~$20, so if you times by 2 it will come up to ~$40 right? But platter for 2 only cost $35.90 le, then got BONUS bcoz ada extra mussels which the platter for 1 didn’t have. The calamari are grilled not fried (less calories), 10 grilled prawns split open and a sliver of grilled fish.
Had a perfectly decent meal here. One thing that I’m very particular about eating seafood is that it has to be fresh. It doesn't matter how the seafood is going to be prepared, fried kah, or smoked kah or steamed kah, as long as it’s FRESH, it taste GOOD.

There is nothing wrong with Fish and Co., but with so many other exciting places to eat in Singapore, I probably wouldn't eat there again. There are more alternatives out there with the same price range.
