The 2 places that I frequent for D1m Sum,
Causeway Bay & After 3 Kopitiam.
Let's talk about Causeway Bay 1st. I loved their decor & the place is nicely layout. There is even a frame of H0ng K0ng night view hanged on the wall for the customers to imagine that they were in Hong Kong having their meal. Car parking space is not an issue & it's guarded. Now, that's a very important feature 4 me.
A must order is the 'har kau', succulent freshtiny prawn wrap in thin skin. 'Siew mai' is ok too. But this is a "halal" restaurant, so it's chicken meat with Chinese mushroom. The 'lo-mai-kai' tasted so-so only. The 'Cha Siu Bun' or if you wanna try something different the 'Cha Siu puff' is good. I likey.

Other than dim sum, they also served typical HK tea house favorite like thick toast, fried rice, noodles, porridge, baked rice and lots more. I loved thick toast with peanut butter. ooo... I almost forgot the HK style egg-tart - crispy with smooth egg custard. Yummy. Below is the Cheese Baked Rice with Prawn, for me it was too bland, but my frens said it was too cheesy & rich that she cannot finished it. My motto is always try something new, if not u never know what u r missing out. But sometimes it backfired. But at least now I know lar what I dun wanna order next time. The drinks are those typical stuff you can find at the local HK tea house like ‘ying yong’, ‘milk tea’, almond tea etc etc. The Ying Yong (mild+tea+coffee) is AWESOME. U can get it "peng" (with ice) too. The thing with Causeway Bay is that their menu offer dishes that are very adventurous, not something u can get else where, like this Black Pepper Fried Udon with Beef. And what I think is still the best, Sizzling Noodles with Sliced Beef. The noodles are really full of flavour, the beef tender. But I think all the food there really has a lot of flavouring. Cost ~RM5-7 depending on the meat u choose.
ok...now let's talk about After 3 Kopitiam at Padungan area, Opposite HSBC. It was previously named as Banquet Express but for unknown reason, they changed it to After 3 Kopitiam.
U can choose to sit outside or inside where it's air-con. For us, it's depending on which car we drove...hahaha... and it's always empty so that's a good point bcoz it's less noisy & customer service is good, unlike Causeway Bay.
The view from the outside patio, next to the BIG long-kang, but surprisingly it's not stinky as I tot it would b. Perfect for those that wanna smoke while eating. Inside the modern kopitiam view, simple & nothing special. The Must Try, 'har kau' & 'lo-mai-kai' (LMK). The 'har kau' is slightly bigger than Causeway & the LMK tasted better.

The rest of the D1m Sum is more or less the same with Causeway Bay. And it's also 'halal' so it's chix meat again...lol...even the price is same RM3.50 or RM3.60
Not only D1m Sum on their menu, even got nasi lemak. It was ok but the Curry Chix abit tough so it spoil the whole dish (RM5.50). I tried their fried noddle with chicken chop, it was too "watery" but the portion of meat given was HUGE. Very Worth it at Rm5.50.

Both eatery have their own good points, and bad points too. Both dun serve pork... hehehe. The Old Padungan kopitiam that served pork dun hav air-con, so it's always the giv & take factor.
